okay so i’m almost positive we’ll never actually be going to get to go to the xyz dimension and even if we did I doubt there’ll be zexal cameos (especially considering the whole zexal and arc v take place in different timelines confirmation) but consider the following – i literally do not care and started building an AU were some of the zexal charas are part of the resistance hahahahhaha

ANYWAYS here are some very lazy concept sketches and a handful of headcanons under the cut

(also i recommend clicking the sketches for better resolution considering the image size is ginormous already r i p)

Gilag, now 22 (19 at the time of the invasion), is the founder of what is commonly known as Heartland’s Resistance. As the Barians were consistently taken down one by one, Alito and he fought furiously against the Obelisk Force, often speaking of creating an organized Resistance once the opportunity arose. However, Alito fell to the opposing forces before such a project could be started, leaving Gilag with nothing but the promise to continue fighting on in his name.

Haruto, now 16 (13 at the time of the invasion), is now a competent and rather skilled duelist, though when Heartland Tower was invaded Kaito sacrificed himself to ultimately ensure Haruto’s escape. Since, he has sworn to bring Kaito back as soon as the opportunity arises – still, he understands that sacrificing his own life to do so would not actually help Kaito in anyway, so while desperate to save his brother, he remains aware of his own limits.

Thanks to the notes and sample models Chris and Kaito left behind, Haruto was the one to build Yuto and Shun’s dimension-travelling technology.

also!! Orbital still remains (Kaito entrusted Haruto to his care), and generally helps Kotori hold the fort.

Kotori, now 21 (18 at the time of the invasion), managed to barely escape Fusion’s initial attacks with her life only due to Yuma and Astral’s sacrifice. Soon after, she joins up with Rio, who had already lost Shark in a similar manner, and the two band together up until Rio also sacrifices herself for the sake of Kotori’s survival. Although worn and quite honestly defeated, Kotori continues to live on – albeit emptily so and without much sense of purpose – until she coincidentially runs into Gilag. He tells her of he and Alito’s plan to form an organized Resistance, and she listens, both surprised and impressed by Gilag’s ability to perservere despite the loss of his best friend. As Gilag ask for her help carrying on he and Alito’s dream, Kotori finds herself easily agreeing, pleased to have finally found something else to live for.

The Team Mom of the Resistance, to be quite honest. Although she can’t duel, she’s typically left in charge of holding the fort and is generally in charge of preparing meals for both the duelists and the remaining children and old folk in need.

No, seriously. If you don’t have money to help out an artist financially, the second best thing is to reblog all the things you like. While liking it does tell the artist that “hey I really like this!” It does jack shit because the only ones who will see that are me and you.

Why do you think there are so SO many posts made by people that are literally summed down to “please reblog my artwork I need the notes!”? Because no one reblogs artwork. Unless you’re a ridiculously popular blog with thousands of followers, you’ll only end up getting 1 or no reblogs.

Digi OTP Week, Day Three || Celebrations

a wedding counts as a celebration, right?? =v=;;

tbh i had this completed two days in advance.... unfortunately i’m only uploading it now because today i had a lot of family troubles but.... in my time zone it’s still day three, so that doesn’t really matter!!

i headcanon the ryuki wedding to be organized mostly by rika’s mum and jeri, but ofc they both allowed ryo and rika to have their say in it!! i really like the idea of them having a red/blue motif, as those are the colours i associate most with the both of them... aaah i just really like ryuki okay
