It's not the first time I write something about Shingeki, but it is the first time I publish it. It's a story more for me than for the public. I hope you like it.
Some future relationships are implied, such as Reiner x Oc, I'll talk about that later.
Life had given her another chance to set things right—after being burned alive by the steam of one of the Colossals during the Rumbling. Her final moments in that past life had been spent staring at the sky, savoring the freedom she had once fought so hard to claim. But was it ever truly freedom? It didn’t feel like it. Not when she had died only to be born again into the same world, carrying memories of a life that had not yet happened.
And yet, against all reason, she felt joy. Joy because she had one more day with her family, something she hadn’t allowed herself in years—not since her mother’s death in Shiganshina, so long ago.
Her mother.
The scent of warm breakfast pulled her out of bed in a rush. She had never done that before, not in her past life. Laziness had defined her mornings, even during her cadet years, much to Shadis’ endless wrath. But gods, she would give anything to relive the ordinary days before the Fall. To hold her mother again. To argue with her younger brothers. Inevitably, she broke down crying on the edge of her bed—yes, crying, because this time she could allow herself to be a child once more. She bolted down the stairs and found her mother in the kitchen, her father absorbed in a book while her brothers fought over their food. Her mother’s brown eyes widened at the sight of her awake so early. Riva rushed forward and threw herself into her mother’s arms, sobbing. When asked why, she only whispered that she had woken from a nightmare.
A very long one.
Breakfast tasted like no meal ever had—like glory itself. Afterwards, she walked her little brothers to school, her father accompanying them part of the way since it led to his workplace. Spending time with him, before grief hardened him into the bitter man she remembered, was strangely comforting. At the crossroads, they parted ways.
Riva’s path led her to the Yeagers’ home, to deliver some cloth her mother had asked her to bring to Carla. Afterwards, she planned to meet Armin, along with Eren and Mikasa. The thought of playing with them was strange—her mind still belonged to a twenty-year-old woman—but she went anyway. Outside, she almost collided with Grisha as he stepped out. Her heart clenched, if only for a second. She managed to greet him normally, though suspicion gnawed at her. Had it already happened? Eren had once told her in Marley, but never mentioned dates. If it hadn’t yet… could she prevent Eren from inheriting the Attack Titan? It would save him from that fate. It might even stop the Rumbling.
But some things could not be undone, even with a second life.
“Riva?” Carla’s voice pulled her back to the present. The dark-haired girl entered the house when invited. Carla scolded Eren for not being dressed yet, making his face flush red.
—“What, do you want Riva to see you without a shirt?” The irony almost made her laugh—Titans wore no clothes. Technically, she had already seen Eren naked. Gods, what a thought. Before she could smirk at the absurdity, Mikasa appeared. She looked so small, so delicate, Riva nearly threw her arms around her. But she held back; Mikasa would probably punch her if she tried.
—“I’m ready,” Eren muttered as he joined them. He looked so small. So innocent. So… vulnerable. The tears returned before she could stop them. How could they not? Her best friend stood before her, not the monster he would one day become. Alive. Safe. She wanted to hold him and never let go. To apologize for not being there when he needed her most. To apologize for dying before he did.
And then she saw it.
The necklace already hung around Eren’s neck—a chain that looked like a curse, a prison collar. The sight made her stomach twist in revulsion. She wanted to rip it off him, wanted to strangle Grisha with that same chain. But her hands were too small, the hands of an eleven-year-old girl. Too weak to kill a grown man twice her size.Perhaps Annie or Reiner could have done it. For a moment, she envied them.
“Riva, why are you crying?”
The question jolted her. She hadn’t even realized the tears were falling. Was it seeing Eren again? Or… was it because she had remembered Reiner?
—“Let’s go get Armin,” Eren said, grabbing her hand and tugging her outside.They walked together toward Armin’s house, where the sound of children mocking him echoed in the air.
Eren let go of her hand and sprinted forward, straight into the fight.

murat, 50, lucanis, 45. still crows, lucanis is the first talon, murat is his right-hand man.
at 49, murat was stabbed on a seemingly simple contract, he even hobbled home with a wound and almost gave lucanis a heart attack because murat acted as if nothing terrible had happened, but he could barely stand on his feet. he was stabbed close to the liver, close but not fatal. the fade prison did something to lucanis and after that he became more nervous, anxious or something, idk. overprotective, maybe. after that, lucanis said that's it, we will retire and move to the outskirts of antiva, away from all this. murat thought lucanis was joking and then realized he wasn’t joking at all. after a little fight, murat promised one year more okay, we'll solve this thefirsttalon problem and finally run away from here. oh and we'll get a dog, a cat, and a goat, whoever you want, my love. lucanis agreed.
10 months passed. they were either on a contract or on some kind of crow mission, but it turned out to be an ambush. they were ready for this, because there are attempts on their lives, like, all the time. but this time these guys were very well prepared and there were several times more of them. (maybe even spite couldn't do spite things and lucanis had to rely only on his skills. some kind of magical artifact.) after a short fight, lucanis' head was slammed against the wall and he was knocked out but was still conscious. murat killed this guy and the last one remained. and at the same time murat cut their throat, they stabbed murat in the chest with all their might with a terrible crunch. falling to the ground, they also pulled the knife out of murat. murat only had the strength to slide down the wall.
spite tried to lift lucanis but he couldn't, he kept repeating that murat was hurt. eventually lucanis regained consciousness and crawled to murat. he was holding his chest and looked really fucking bad. lucanis opened murat's collar and there was a deep wound with blood oozing out. the same blood was also pouring out of his mouth. lucanis said that he will come up with something right now, he will find help, murat just needs to hold on a little. he was panicking, not knowing what to do, he tried to cover the wound with both hands, but the blood was oozing right through his fingers. murat, with the last of his strength, said that he loves him very much and he is so sorry that he couldn't keep his promise. he covered lucanis' hands with his own. lucanis said that he doesn't give a shit about the promise, just live, please. but after these words, murat wilted and his hand slowly slid down to lucanis's wrist, and then hung.
lucanis had a very short stage of denial, because he had seen death many times and this was exactly it. at first he tried to lift him up, to carry him somewhere, but for some reason murat's body was now incredibly heavy, and it was as if lucanis had no strength at all. he tried to talk to him but he no longer answered. well… so he sat down next to him. he sat there for i don’t know how long. spite didn’t understand at all why the fuck lucanis was just sitting there and doing nothing. why didn’t he help him. probably spite is still somewhat confused about death, he doesn't fully understand the death of mortals.
i don't know what will happen to lucanis next, everything is so bad, it's horrible if you think about it. rook was his first, in many things. murat was his best friend, assistant, support. he was afraid that murat could be killed, but he wasn't afraid when murat was next to him, because together they can handle anything. and then this happens… plus spite harbored a grudge against him. he blamed lucanis for not saving rook. lucanis tried to explain to him that murat had already died and it was no longer possible to bring him back. but spite is spite, he stood his ground. and soon lucanis also began to blame himself. what he will do next, i can't even imagine.
People will say she was motivated by their tragic story (and it’s partly true) but in reality she just wanted an excuse to listen to that BoJack moment for 100 times on repeat
It's the first time I've drawn characters with beards, it was fun. I hope you like it, the truth is that I really enjoy the comics you make of these two, they are very cute and I love Spite chiquito (lil spite) very much.
Can you imagine a Dragon Age game where the main character we play is the team's wizard with a spirit/demon inside him? Personally I think that would be awesome.
