So there's two species of sea lion in North America: the California sea lion, ranging along California (including Baja) but not ranging into the north coast or into oregon

And the Stellar's sea lion, which are WAY bigger and live in Washington, British Columbia, and Alaska

A male Stellars sea lion showed up in SF like a month ago and just kinda. Didn't know what to do, and joined a colony of California sea lions, and is just kinda chilling there now.

Weird vagrant species happen from time to time, but this is just a particularly funny instance of a highly social species getting very lost, and just trying to blend in with its closest nearby relatives

One of the funniest things in economics is that any time you try to regulate something a bunch of economists pop up to say that regulating shit actually raises costs etc ad nauseum and the fact is that this is not, as they suggest, an immutable physical law, but rather a threat.

A thing I am enjoying about the KCD fandom is the embracing of Jitka of Kunstadt.

Warhorse: Jitka does not appear in game and her sole purpose is to be the (historically accurate) Specter of Doom in the doomed romance that is Hansry.

Fandom: Jitka is brilliant and badass and cool and its not her fault she's a pawn in a political arrangement. She's absolutely chill (even lowkey delighted) with it being a lavender marriage. She's bisexual because we say so. She's also a good mom.
