So I just finished Adrian Tchaikovksy's "Children of Time" and it's easily my favorite book of the last decade. I am so emotional over these sentient jumping spiders <3

(in my opinion) the only downside about TLOVM is that there's way less variety in fan art depictions of the characters now that their appearances have been "cemented" so-to-speak

i kinda miss pre-TLOVM days when fan art depicted the characters in varied and unique ways. everyone had their own interpretations of their outfits, their body types, their features. now, it's so unanimous - which is not necessarily a bad thing, but i miss seeing more diverse interpretations, ya know?
