BeyoncĂ©âs dancers call for justice for Mario Woods at the Super Bowl
During Sundayâs event, BeyoncĂ©âs backup dancers held a sign which read âJustice for Mario Woods,â a 26-year-old African-American who was fatally shot by police in San Francisco on Dec. 2, 2015. Woodsâ killing has sparked outrage in the Bay Area, especially after footage of the extreme brutality surfaced.
Update: This is Ronnisha Johnson and Rheema Calloway, theyâre organizers with Black Lives Matter and SF group the Last 3 Percent, and theyâre the ones who helped get Mario Woodsâ name into the hands of Beyonceâs dancers.
Calloway and Johnson scored tickets to the Super Bowlâs halftime performance. They would be in the building and on the field, near some pretty powerful people â and so they devised a plan.
Teach your fucking sons that women donât owe them a fucking thing
Not a fucking thing.
And teach your fucking daughter that men donât owe them a fucking thing.
Not a fucking thing.
Actually. Men do. They owe us credit theyâve been stealing from us for centuries. They owe us equality, they owe us fair pay, and they owe us respect.
The person I reblogged this from is super cute and deserves to have a nice day
If you're voting for Bernie Sanders
please remember:
not many are aware, but a president is extremely, extremely, extremelyyyy limited without a supporting senate and congress.
for example, if the majority of the party is republican, as it is with Obama, most of the bills and âpromisesâ brought up will be vetoed and denied by the congress without us knowing, thus resulting in us blaming the president when in reality, the president needs OUR help even after being selected.
voting does NOT stop after the presidential election. the president of your choice winning does NOT mean the fight is over.
if you support and want all the things Bernie Sanders is in favor of, and want to see change, please vote for a senate and congress that will support and pass these ideas as well.
so if youâre âfeeling the Bernâ, donât be upset if you dont get free college tuition. so please, please, please, PLEASE⊠vote for a respectful, progressive, open minded senate & congress (:
Do not skip out on midterm elections. Do NOT skip out on midterms. DO NOT SKIP OUT ON MIDTERMS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

15 Reasons Why Monica Geller Is An Unappreciated Character
1: Fed all of her friends almost every day for ten years without complaining.
2: Excelled in a traditionally masculine career, (yes, cookery as a profession is generally male-dominated) and in traditionally masculine hobbies (football), without compromising her femininity or sexuality.
3: At the same time, revelled in traditionally female interests such as babies, marriage and housework without apologizing for them, or suggesting they made her inferior or weak.
4: Overcame teenage obesity.
5: Grew up in an emotionally abusive home, with a mother who subjected her to relentless criticism and verbal mistreatmentâŠ.But still emerged with a sense of her own self-worth, determination to fulfil her dreams and huge capacity to care for others.
6: Stayed friends with her brother who bullied her as a child, and contributed to said-emotionally abusive home. Didnât blame him for her mistreatment or show resentment towards him.
7: Took former best friend â who abandoned and rejected her for a âhigh societyâ life â into her home without question.
8: Prior to this, accepted a woman who had previously lived on the streets, as her roommate and welcomed her into her group of friends.
9: Went through unemployment and shitty jobs, but refused to take unfair advantages she hadnât earned (i.e. Pete buying her a restaurant). Eventually gained a prestigious head chef position based entirely on her own merit.
10: Walked away from the man she thought was the love of her life, because she wanted children and heâd only have them to make her happy. Even though that option would have been 100 times less painful for Monica, she knew that wasnât fair on him and refused.
11: After marrying the actual love of her life, she waited until Chandler was ready to have kids, because she knew about his fears of raising children. When they discovered virtually the only option for children was sperm donor-ship (so theyâd be her kids but not his), she refused and insisted on adoption.Â
12: Was also the one-woman cheerleading team for the aforementioned love of her life, in telling him he could be the amazing boyfriend, husband and father that he never saw in himself. Was proved 100% right.
13: Resisted her control-freak coping mechanisms to give Chandler the power of making the big decisions about their future, (saying âI Love youâ, moving in together, marriage), so he could work through his commitment phobia. Again, proved it was 100% worth it.
14: Encouraged her husband to quit a job he hated, then supported him â financially and emotionally âthrough his subsequent unemployment and helped him find his dream career.
15: Never, ever fucking gives up on anything or anyone.Â
