i don't think armand ever truly loved louis. he was just beating a dead horse after lestat and with his history of lack of accountability and the need to never be the one at fault i think he was happy that he had daniel to blame for the destruction of his 70+ yr old relationship much like how he blamed lestat for breaking up the paris coven even though he was actually pleased. he always puts himself in a cage that he's very much capable of getting out of and then waits for the faux rescue that will come in form of disruption of his status quo which he only pretends to be against
bringing this back bcs after the finale some people really think louis was the one that trapped ARMAND in an abusive relationship wow what alternate version of the show did y'all watch
louis going out of his way to drink lestats blood after learning about his relationship to gabriella is actually so important because it’s his way of showing lestat that despite what louis said earlier he is not disgusted by him. he still loves him, he still wants him and he wants to share his blood with him (something which according to lestat is more intimate than having sex)

if you answered yes to any or all of these questions, i'd like to offer you my personal favourite drama for the past five years, aitsu ga kamite de shimote ga boku de (he's on stage left and on stage right it's me)

the show follows a comedian, tokiura (aramaki yoshihiko), as he gets sent off to a theatre known for housing only the worst performers. there he meets shima (wada masanari), who asks to be his manzai partner after seeing him onstage only once.
alongside the rest of the cast--shima's previous partner narimiya (sakiyama tsubasa) now working with hebiya (torigoe yuki), childhood friends wanno (hashimoto shohei) and inukai (tanaka ryousei) trying to break from their cutesy image, and genda (jinnai sho) in a temporary partnership with amano (umetsu mizuki)--
--this theatre kind of sucks. and everyone is bad at their job. but god if they aren't going to try to make it big anyways.

it's taken me several months of smacking my head against a wall because it's so hard translating jokes from one language into another (WHICH IS WHY I ALSO DIDN'T DO THIS FOR FIVE YEARS) but i suffered through all that because i love this stupidass drama so much.
and like this is my first Real subtitling project that isn't just short clips so please everyone bear with me. i'm also sorry about what i've done to the kansaiben speakers if you want to blame anyone then blame azumanga daioh and ace attorney.
i'll try to get through the stageplays and seasons 2-3 as well, but for now season 1 can be found here!

hi again! i'm the translator! sorry about callout to previous tags but i do want to talk about a very common mistranslation of this show's title: 上手 and 下手 are more often than not read as jouzu (good) and heta (bad) thus leading to "he is good and bad is me"
HOWEVER. in the conveniently provided furigana (since of course it'd also be easy to misread it this way in japanese otherwise): they're read as kamite and shimote, or stage left and stage right respectively, in reference to where they stand during performances.
really, the most fucked up part of this is that stage left is up and stage right is down.
i do wonder if it's an intentional joke but i feel like if it were they would have alluded to such at some point or another? similarly to like...inukai and wanno being Dogs, people holding snake plushie while talking about hebiya, etc.
especially since they do actually make jokes close to the title and this one is, Very Easy to make. (for all i know they have and i just missed it somewhere. lol.)
anyway, that's all, i just wanted to say something since you will not believe the number of times i've seen the title written this way out in the wild and every time i'm like NOT WHAT IT'S CALLED
