i am orlane (she/her), i’m 16 and i’m half 🇨🇲

french is my first language, but i speak english fluently, and i can speak a little german too!

i’ve been playing The Sims 4 since 2018. I enjoy playing with cc and I have always wondered how custom content was made and how to make my own, this curiosity is what brought me here : I want to start making CC and share it in this blog with you guys!

i’ll be mostly making makeup, brows, skin details, recolors, and tattoos, which I am excited to work on and share here!

why dorée? : orlane -> or -> dorée, french word for “golden”

noticed recently that my sims style has heavy same face syndrome, and falls towards eurocentric beauty standards.

i am guilty of this, especially looking back at my older content, where I would give all of my sims super small noses, and I think it had to do with my own insecurities about my own ethnic features, and seeing many cc creators using sims with small noses and plump lips on their previews being pushed more forward and those features being seen as more « desirable » definitely did not help me.

i can’t claim to push towards diversity and POC-centered content with a doll-like style, if said style contributes to erase POC features.

this is why I’ve been recently studying more art references for Afro-American, African and Asian features.

reminder that ethnic features are beautiful, do not get brainwashed by eurocentric, unachievable standards like i blindly was.

i want all of you to be able to be represented by cuties with big lashes while still having correct representation of your features🤍
