David Hockney’s personal style was defined by a bold, eccentric wardrobe featuring rounded spectacles, tailored suits, and a fearless attitude toward mixing patterns and colors that did not traditionally go together.
He effortlessly blended bespoke tweed and pinstripe suits with casual sportswear, rugby shirts, and quirky accessories like brightly colored socks. He was also never without his trademark thick, rounded, Le Corbusier-style spectacles.
It all meant that the artist was as instantly recognisable as his paintings. I wanted to pay tribute to David Hockney after his recent death by putting together some of his most iconic looks alongside my own musical tribute to him, Hockney Blue 🩵 👔 👓🧥🩵
