Ultra Vivid Scene - Mercy Seat I gotta admit I only heard this band a few days ago. I got my dad a "casette to mp3" thing for Christmas and now he'll send me an email or facebook post every few days with a band he used to listen to when i was like 3 years old. This one, Ultra Vivid Scene was pretty revolutionary. That pre-grunge era that violently busted into the next scene shape-shifting rock into a psychotic mesh of simple harmonies and loud guitars. Do you prefer the dreamlike state or the amped up angst that followed? Personally, I can't get enough of either.
