i bet if tech had a corgi even he would talk mushy with it but only in secret, and he'd be real embarrassed if anyone caught him
Everybody can overhear Tech when he's speaking to his girl (Sprocket.) He's not exactly quiet, as in the moment, he gets overwhelmed with emotion towards his pup, and forgets that other people can possibly overhear.
The cockpit door is shut with Tech working inside, the rest of the Batch scattered about the Marauder. They're biting back laughter, giggling to themselves as they overhear Tech baby-talking to Sprocket.
"My darling," Tech sighs as he holds her against his chest, coddling her on the pilot's seat. "My beautiful, darling girl. You truly are the goodest girl out there, aren't you? There is no other creature out there who possesses the pure heart that you do. Even the starts themselves don't shine as bright as you, my sweet-"
The cockpit door slides open, and Tech instantly shuts his mouth. Peering over his shoulder awkwardly with Sprocket still curled up on his chest.
"Forgot to grab my data stick," Echo mutters as he enters the cockpit, searching for said device.
Tech, overwhelmed with embarrassment, places Sprocket down and returns to his work. He rummages through his tool box, only to find that he's missing a specific item.
"Sprocket," he calls out, and the Corgi flops her head innocently as she peers up at him. "Would you mind fetching me the spanner?"
Sprocket, with her tail wagging, exits the cockpit to obtain the said item, and seconds later, she returns with Hunter in tow.
"You wanted to see me, Tech?"
