i think i might stop posting on tumblr

i feel like its just not for me, and ive started unhealthily checking it everyday like an addict and get upset when the art i put effort into doesnt get as much attention, meanwhile my shitposts do

its fun to write my little thought and rambles, but i start obsessing even over those getting attention, and its just ruining any motivation i have to post

not ship art but i just cant imagine a reality where dokuga wasnt staring him down when they first met

after rewatching the anime like 4 times and rewatching the scenes where risu appears separately, ive come to the conclusion anime risu is literally a whole different character from manga risu and i genuinely wish mappa didnt treat him like a joke, because half the scenes with him feel like theyre solely for comedic purposes, and it is SO frustrating to watch, especially as someone who cares abt him so so bad and every little detail abt him😭

it feels like mappa just fell for his "pretending to be clueless/stupid" schtick, like guys you are NOT supposed to add little scenes that make him look dumb and remove the scenes where he shows how aware and on edge he is the whole time😭😭😭 genuinely feels like they did it on purpose for absolutely no reason

Also this is just my personal opinion but i dont think the voice fits him..like at all. And obviously this isnt to say the VA did a bad job, i just personally dont think it was the right cast ... i def imagine a more raspy voice in general, the tone of the "canon" one doesnt give off risus vibes (or maybe ive just brainrotted too much)..i will say though i do like the JP VA's voice range, being able to pull off the "stupid" voice and a serious one. even if i dont think the voice itself fits, that specific characteristic is exactly how i imagine risus voice, having a bit impressive voice range

overall i do still like the anime, and am just as excited for season 2 as everyone else, but if mappa treats risu the same way i might just drop it, cuz it is legit cringe seeing the writers completely misunderstand risu..like his "im only pretending to be an idiot so i keep their guard low and avoid further suspicion" flew RIGHT over their heads imo
