I’ve started off again with a new art Twitter. I’ve had very little luck on Tumblr, and would like to do a lot more digitally, and I kind of like the set up a bit better. (This one is only art, my personal Twitter is a separate entity!)

Why this blog has been silent?

I think I've finally figured it out. The reason why I stopped wanting to do these anymore.

I started out by doing alters and art because they were cool things, or pretty things, and I wanted to create and show people things, I wanted them to have nice things too.

But, then I hit harder times.

I was working two jobs, and going to college, and still didnt have enough money. I began to NEED to make money off of my art. It got so bad that sometimes I would sit in college and paint a card in front of someone so that I could eat that day. Sure I was doing LOTS of really good art daily, but I think that's when I started to resent it. It wasn't fun anymore, it was a survival instinct to go out and beg friends to buy one so I had money that day.

Even after getting a great full time job, I just couldn't get back into it. I still was only making art whenever I need money.

Ultimately, this is the reason I stopped. I couldnt keep forcing myself to throw out more content.

Hopefully soon I'll be getting another promotion, so that money isn't as big of a worry anymore, and I can go back to just, making cool things that I like, and that I hope others will like. Now that I've identified my true problems with it, I'm going to try to reshape what I do.

Update!

Hello friends! I haven't been on much in a bit, but that's okay now, because I have applied for a higher up position that's is part time, at my current job. So this means I might only be having to work 3-4 days a week, instead of 5-6. What's that mean for you all? MORE TIME FOT ARTWORK!! If I get this new job, those extra days I have off will be going to actually regularly doing art. So expect more updates in the future!
