Also I think we can now agree that besides the fact that everything was planned maybe months before it happend, H stunting wasn’t a damage control for Louis’ like of that reel but definitely Louis liked the reel to comfort us in advance for what was coming later. I was watching Heartstopper for the 6th time and I noticed Charlie saying “I should’ve met you when I was younger. Last night I was on the hunt for a post and stumbled across an ask about how tanned and beautiful Louis and Harry look, and the blog that responded said that ‘Olivia and Eleanor looking as pasty white as usual. So sad.’

And I used to follow that blog who have 1000% previously commented on/reblogged posts about Eleanor’s level of tan as being inappropriate (as well as Louis’ sisters) and it’s been stewing in my mind all morning.

I think it’s s great/awful example of how women around 1D are never ever going to meet the unrealistic expectations of fans - they’re consistently held to a higher standard than Harry and Louis themselves.

There’s also a whole heap of stuff in there about beauty standards and how you’re going to refer to Harry as being ‘porcelain’ when he’s not tan but Olivia and Eleanor as being ‘pasty white … So sad’.

Eleanor is pretty tan just now, by anyones standards so are you just attempting to comment negatively on her appearance? But praise Harry and Louis? Do you want her to be more tanned so you can circle back round and say she’s ‘overtanning’?

People are pissing me off with this discussion of when the songs were written, so I'll draw a timeline.

Harry himself said that he did the pandemic in tour chunks, and that him and his collaborators would write together for a few weeks at a time then go off and live their lifes then get together again.

First chunk - LA, around may 2020, most of the work done in Shangri-La Studios

Second chunk - UK, around july-september 2020, most of the work done in Real World Studios

Third chunk - LA/US, october 2020 to around february 2021, when he was filming DWD

Fourth chunk - UK, march-april 2021, at Rob Stringer's house, listed as Highmoor Farms in the credits

After that, he was back in the studio in LA and possibly in the UK for the mixing and mastering of the album, after my policeman and up until tour started (Angelic Studios in the UK, Henson Studios in LA)

He also has said that Little Freak and Boyfriends were recorded before he started working for this album.

Now, for what's listed as the studios for the other songs:

Mfasr - Real World, Angelic and Henson

First chunk - Late night talking, Grapejuice, Daylight, Matilda

Second chunk - Mfasr, Keep Driving

Third chunk - Daydreaming, Satellite

Fourth chunk - As It was, Cinema and Loml, also there was some additional work on Grapejuice here

All of the songs had work done on them in Angelic Studios and Henson Studios after My Policeman and before tour, probably mostly the mixing and mastering, he could have also changed lyrics and details in the songs, but at least the first version of each song seems to follow this timeline.
