you and kazuha had always been close since your childhood, despite your differences you guys still manage to stay friends, for some reason i mean you two were too different, you preferred being with a big circle of friends, you'd often boast about things and you were very loud and open about your opinions while kazuha .. was quiet and he was quite nerdy .
Kazuha liked being in small circles, but he didnt mind being in big ones, most of his friends (venti,xiao,aether,heizou, wanderer / scaramouche and ifa yes im including my king) was already okay with him and surprise surprise .. they're just as much of a hottie loser as kazuha..
You had been described as the most attractive person in school, boys and girls all want you. And you'd often get followed by a bunch of people asking for your number and shit.. you found it kinda annoying since you started to develop feelings for kazuha, Yes.. your childhood friend! You didnt know why but on a random thursday afternoon during lunch kazuha was just trying to fix his hair you realized how attractive he actually looked.. and the way he would coo you whenever you'd cry. He was always there for you, even when you hadn't even become popular.
You wanted to be with him but.. all these people keep on following you everywhere! Its not like they actually liked you for who you were. They only liked you because you were hot to them.. you just wanted to go to lunch with kazuha.. despite being seen as a loud, obnoxious and rude person only kazuha was one of the people you were nice too.
Meanwhile when you were still developing feelings for kazuha, kazuha had always liked you ever since you were children, the reason why he wanted to play princess and the prince with you was because, he wanted to know how it feels like when he becomes your prince (kinda cringed at ts) he's always tried to make you realize how much he likes you but you were too oblivious but he wont give up he'll do anything to make you fall in love with him.
Kazuha would ask to go out with you (just you and him, not heizou, not anybody just you and him), write you poems based on how perfect you are, and you two were so close with each other that teachers would assume you two here dating . He'd try to get as close to you as possible trying to make you fall in love with him well .. after a few months, it did work! You started to develop feelings for him and he had noticed based off your expressions and many more signs
Kazuha asked you after school if you could meet him to the rooftop, it was pretty windy.. and the sun was just starting to set . You spoke up
"kazuha? Why'd you ask to meet me up here.."
Kazuha smiled softly before responding in his usual gentle voice
"(reader), may i ask for you to stay here while i read you this poem?"
You nod slightly overwhelmed
"Your laughter dances like the sweetest song,

he blushed and then smiled and then you two went on a date later on <3
