I’m happy to finally share my gig poster for Pixies’ show yesterday at The Hollywood Palladium with Eagles Of Death Metal.
The image is inspired by Pixies’ latest release’s title track “Head Carrier”. A song about St. Denis of Paris, a 3rd-century saint who was beheaded by a sword and is said to walk without his head for several miles.
The poster is available now on http://michaelhacker.bigcartel.com/product/pixies
It’s a limited six colour screen print on cream speckletone paper 18 x 24in (45,7 x 60,9cm). Signed and numbered AP edition of 75.
Thanks to Tsurt and Ian Williams Art and Design for making this happen!

OLD POSTER OF THE DAY
Gwar at the Kennel Club
I did 3 or 4 or maybe 5 Gwar posters between 1988-1994. Fun act, the first show I ever saw definately made me giggle. Nice people too! Anyways, here’s a fun one from a show in SF back in the day wherein a pair of clueless saps are about to get a dose of Gwar-Goodness.
