Lennon Lucy Woods Our Sweet Lenni Lu. 7lbs 2oz. 20.5″ long Born at 7:48pm on June 30th, therefore STILL making it during Pride month (which makes @tessa-woods very proud, while making me very achy as she was a bit past her due date!)
Big Sister Charlie has met her over FaceTime and can’t wait to snuggle her! We are so excited to finally have this girl in our arms.

Frankie: Hey there, sis! Looks like your baby niece might be making an appearance in the next day or two. Any chance you'd mind keeping Charlie until my mom and Alex can get here? They should be able to be here tomorrow or the next day. If not, I COMPLETELY get it.

Tess: Baby, we talked about this. I'm a doctor of physical therapy, not an MD, and you can't deliver our baby yourself if it's coming out of you.
Tess: I'm very familiar with the vajayjay (especially yours 💁🏻) but I do not really want to see a baby coming out of it??? I kind of feel like it will make me never want to have sex ever again???? So we need to like avoid you having this baby at home at all costs.
Frankie: Babe. I know you don't want to watch this baby be delivered, or have to deliver her. We still have PLENTY of time to get to the hospital. They won't want a normal person there until the contractions are 3-5min apart. I know my body, I won't make this baby be born at home. After you're done at work, we'll see where I'm at.

Tess: YES!!!! PRIDE BABY!!!!
Tess: COME ON, LENNI LU! MAKE YOUR MAMA'S LESBIAN HEART HAPPY!
Tess: I mean, oh? how are you feeling?
Frankie: You are something else, my love.
Frankie: I know, right? She better be our pride month baby!
Frankie: I'm feeling fine, really. They're not too intense yet. Charlie and I are just watching a movie, relaxing. I'm keeping track of the contractions. We definitely don't have to go anywhere yet.
Oy!
This baby is taking her GOOD old time.

Frankie: So, uh, don't panic. But contractions seem to have started. Slow, of course, not super frequent...but definitely there. Looks like we might get our June baby still!
Count your blessings every single day. You never know when it will all disappear. I am sure that Griffin greeted Chris and Clay and is showing them all around. Sending my love to all of those who loved these two men.

Tess: Teal, mid-sized SUV, back up camera, remote start, and automatic trunk. Easy enough!
Frankie: Can't wait to see what you choose for me :)
Text || Tess & Frankie
Tess: Fair point, privilege noted. How about I pick one for you? Just name a color and any must haves.
Frankie: That sounds like a PERFECT plan. Teal! And....I want a bigger car (not huge, but like....rogue-sized?) and it has to have a back up camera and automatic start. Bonus if it has an automatic trunk, too.
After 108 days in the hospital as a patient, I am finally going HOME! Evie has only spent 12 days here, but she’s equally excited to be breaking out. Thank you Auntie Mer for finally letting mommy out!
Yay for going home! She’s so sweet, Allie! Enjoy being home with all of your kiddos!
Text || Tess & Frankie
Tess: I tell you we can get you any car you want and you pick a NISSAN?!
Tess: Have I taught you nothing?!?!!!!!
Frankie: I'm not a car person, babe! I have no idea what I want. The only cars I've ever gotten have been chosen because it was what I could afford, I've never gotten to PICK.
Text || Tess & Frankie
Frankie: What about a Nissan Rogue?
TESSla has arrived! Dog mode is so fun and these doors make my life.
You have me convinced of the appeal! It’ll be so easy to get the baby in and out without smacking my head on the top of the car! I’m happy you’re happy, babe!

After The Storm || Meredith & Frankie
@dr-frankie-woods
Given the circumstances under which Woods had left the OR, Meredith felt a need to update her as soon as she was done, so to reassure her and also to thank her. If she had not been around… Meredith could not even start thinking about it. She just felt a need to go see her to update her and thank her, and so she headed over to the nursery first, thinking she might be there. And so getting there, she sighs to herself when she spots her, making her way towards her. “Hey,” she calls at her gently as she approaches. “Allison’s stable,” she tells her right away, not wanting to keep her waiting any longer. “Bailey stepped in and helped me fix the bleeding, she’s ok now, we just took her up to recovery.”
Frankie was so focused on helping the baby girl that she had just delivered, her mentor’s baby girl, but in the back of her mind she kept praying that Allie was pulling through. She was running through the entire surgery, trying to figure out what she could have done wrong to create the situation that was happening in the operating room when she left. Hearing someone call to her, she turned her head and nodded. “She’s okay? Thank god.” She whispered, her eyes welling up as she heard that they had taken her up to recovery. “Baby girl is doing really well. She’s tiny, but they helped prepare her to be born early, so I think she’ll be just fine.” She told Meredith, running her hand along the tiny baby’s hand. She bit her lip, nervous to ask the question on her mind, but she needed to know. “Was it my fault? Did I mess something up?” She asked, taking a deep breath to prepare herself for whatever answer she got.
Yesterday was this special little girl’s SEVENTH birthday! How in the world did that happen? I am the luckiest Mommy in the world to have such a sweet, caring, understanding, gentle and well-spoken baby girl. It wasn’t always easy, Charlie, we didn’t always have it all. There were so many times that I wondered if I was doing right by you. I wondered if you deserved a better Mommy. One thing was always true though. We always had each other. Now, we have each other, and Mama. We have your brother watching over us and your baby sister coming soon (thank goodness, Mommy is HUGE). We have more than we could’ve ever imagined back when you were born and we were struggling and I’m so glad you’re growing up with the family that I never had. Seven years old and you have all of the opportunities the world could offer and more. I can’t wait to see the amazing human you become as you keep growing. Happy Birthday, Charlotte Rae Woods. I love you to the moon and back.

I think that…I don’t care about honoring me. I mean, she’ll already have my last name. But my mom…I love it to honor her [voice cracking]. I think it’s perfect, and…Lenni Lu!
Well, I do. She’s going to be a mini you. BUT I mostly wanted to honor your mom. I think that’ll be special for our girl, and for you. And yes, sweet Lenni Lu! I love it, so much. And you. And our kids.
