Frankie: Babe. I know you don't want to watch this baby be delivered, or have to deliver her. We still have PLENTY of time to get to the hospital. They won't want a normal person there until the contractions are 3-5min apart. I know my body, I won't make this baby be born at home. After you're done at work, we'll see where I'm at.
Tess: I want to be there! I just don't want to SEE her coming out!
Tess: Ok. I trust you. Sorry, you know I make inappropriate jokes when I'm anxious.
Tess: I can't stay here!!!!

Frankie: You are something else, my love.
Frankie: I know, right? She better be our pride month baby!
Frankie: I'm feeling fine, really. They're not too intense yet. Charlie and I are just watching a movie, relaxing. I'm keeping track of the contractions. We definitely don't have to go anywhere yet.
Tess: Baby, we talked about this. I'm a doctor of physical therapy, not an MD, and you can't deliver our baby yourself if it's coming out of you.
Tess: I'm very familiar with the vajayjay (especially yours 💁🏻) but I do not really want to see a baby coming out of it??? I kind of feel like it will make me never want to have sex ever again???? So we need to like avoid you having this baby at home at all costs.

Frankie: So, uh, don't panic. But contractions seem to have started. Slow, of course, not super frequent...but definitely there. Looks like we might get our June baby still!
Tess: YES!!!! PRIDE BABY!!!!
Tess: COME ON, LENNI LU! MAKE YOUR MAMA'S LESBIAN HEART HAPPY!
Tess: I mean, oh? how are you feeling?
Text || Tess & Frankie
Frankie: That sounds like a PERFECT plan. Teal! And....I want a bigger car (not huge, but like....rogue-sized?) and it has to have a back up camera and automatic start. Bonus if it has an automatic trunk, too.
Tess: Teal, mid-sized SUV, back up camera, remote start, and automatic trunk. Easy enough!

Frankie: I'm not a car person, babe! I have no idea what I want. The only cars I've ever gotten have been chosen because it was what I could afford, I've never gotten to PICK.
Tess: Fair point, privilege noted. How about I pick one for you? Just name a color and any must haves.
TESSla has arrived! Dog mode is so fun and these doors make my life.
Oh my gosh, it’s like the car is about to fly. Wow. Love the name factor, so fitting.
Yea that’s mostly why I wanted it...that, and dog mode. Not that we leave Fish in the car alone...but now we could!

Frankie: What about a Nissan Rogue?
Tess: I tell you we can get you any car you want and you pick a NISSAN?!
Tess: Have I taught you nothing?!?!!!!!

Well, I do. She’s going to be a mini you. BUT I mostly wanted to honor your mom. I think that’ll be special for our girl, and for you. And yes, sweet Lenni Lu! I love it, so much. And you. And our kids.

[laughs] Mini me, god help us. [smiles] I love it. And so would my mom...she would be honored.
dr-frankie-woods:
[smiles and nods] You know I love my masculine nicknames, and I really do love Lennon. I think it’s perfect for our girl. [nods and smiles slightly] Yeah, for you and for your mom. I think it fits perfectly, and it’s a way to honor her. And you. What do you think?

I think that...I don’t care about honoring me. I mean, she’ll already have my last name. But my mom...I love it to honor her [voice cracking]. I think it’s perfect, and...Lenni Lu!
dr-frankie-woods:
You may hate feet, but you love me! [chuckles] Oh? Oh! Lennon. Lennon Woods. I really like that! We could call her Lenni! Charlie and Lenni! That’s…babe, that’s such a good idea! What about….Lennon Lucy? [bites her bottom lip, curious about her wife’s reaction to recommending Lucy]
[laughs] Exactly. Lennon, as in John. But it has the masculine nickname that you like, and it’s cool. [brow furrow] Lucy, like me? Like...my mom?
dr-frankie-woods:
[leans back against the pillows] You are a goddess. [sighs and closes her eyes and lets her hands rub across her bump] This girl still needs a name, you know. Or I think Charlie is going to insist her name is Cinderella.

I am. Especially when you consider that I really hate feet. [winks] You know, I meant to tell you I had an idea! I was running the other day, and a Beatles song came on, and I thought, what about Lennon?
dr-frankie-woods:
[smiles] Baby doesn’t give a shit about my feet, as evidenced by making them swell and be sore, but this Mommy would love another foot rub before she goes back to running….if you’re sure you wanna waste some of your lunch on me. [scrunches her nose]
You’ve got it. [sitting on the end of the on call room bed] It’s not a waste, and besides, I already ate lunch.
dr-frankie-woods:
[laughs and leans over to kiss her] You’re just lucky I love you and our girls. And we’re lucky to be loved by you.
I am, very lucky. [kisses her] Do you have to go back to work, or does the baby want another foot rub? I’m on lunch.
dr-frankie-woods:
I probably shouldn’t have. I should’ve known she’d exhaust me based on her genetics. But at least it’s worth it, to end up with a tiny you running around (who I’m sure will exhaust me even more when she’s actually HERE)
