I can’t wait

till I meet someone who has the same wanderlust in their eyes as me. Meet someone who l can walk around NYC in the rain with. Someone who will comfort me when I cry. Someone who will try new things with me. Adventure. Someone who loves me even at my worst.

Who will fight for me. Who won’t easily let me go  But until then, I have to love me. And I have to find comfort and happiness in myself. So instead of completely relying on someone else, And drowning when they’re gone, I can carry on,  and still know that even without this other person, I have worth.

When a heart breaks.

How do you trust someone again? How long does it take? When a friend breaks your heart how do you move on from there? Some people have no idea of the demons in your mind that you have to fight with tragedy after tragedy. They’re selfish enough to create another ghost that will hunt your soul for the rest of your life. How do you forgive if you can’t forget?

Its that sick feeling that you would do it again if you thought you could get away with it

if you thought I’d never know

that keeps me awake at night

wishing that you would love me more than everyone else

for all the right reasons

you have me to look at every day

i try to hold your gaze

to say sweet things and laugh and joke

but seeing her for a moment makes your hair stick up
