If you think that ensuring only legal and living citizens vote is 'fixing' an election...
…you might be a liberal.

May they finally get the freedom they desire after almost two years of bloodshed... it's been too long and the price has been too high.

Mr. Latuff, I salute you! ;)
Though TBH, I wouldn't like Assad gone. He's still butchering his own people for all I know. How much worse the those rebels possibly be?
Classic!

This weekend when I attended the Stanford Pow Wow I had the opportunity to meet Sacheen Littlefeather, a well known Native American activist. She is most infamous for taking Marlon Brando’s place at the 45th Academy awards ceremony to reject his award for The Godfather and protest the mistreatment of Native Americans in the film industry. She has also participated in the occupation of Alcatraz and many movies, one she recommended at the time was the documentary Reel Injun. When I met this woman she seemed like most cheerful elders represented in their regalia, making their rounds and meeting old friends. I didn’t all expect to get a history lesson! She was really sweet and unfortunately dealing with breast cancer. Although she is going through some current hard times she still had a smile on her face, taking in all the good medicine at the pow wow. She told me that for a long time the video of her rejecting the award was banned from viewing, but luckily now viewable on youtube! check it out HERE!
That really was a badass move at the Oscars back in '73. I read they said she was was actual Hispanic and not even Native. I believe John Wayne was responsible for that story. Brando was accused of manipulating the press by, as John Wayne put it, “taking some little unknown girl and dressing her up in an Indian outfit.” Now that's pretty lame.
Much strength and support to my Syrian brothers and sisters! May you all be free soon.
