if i had a nickel for every over 2m tall, purple, bald character with some form of bioluminescent thing around their head i’ve made, i would have 2 nickels. Which is entirely useless to me because i don’t live in america, but it’s weird that its happened twice.

As of… maybe three days ago there were 79 fics on ao3 that feature Lt. Kyle (the blond english engineer in TOS for those that don’t know). A smaller percentage of those feature him as a principal character (i haven’t counted. It’s probably not many)

As of yesterday, there are 80.

Translating the uniforms into something magical-girl-esque was… not easy. But i think i’ve managed to do something with it (auuuueghh why did i choose to include foreshortening)

I really like the AU— it’s not necessarily everyone’s cup of tea but it is definitely mine. I am definitely looking forward to seeing how it develops :D

Jamie Kirk slowed as they neared the school, nestled on a quiet side street, to let Spock leap into her bag as a sleek black cat before stepping onto school grounds.

“I’d offer to carry you the whole way, but you clearly have stamina to spare,” Jamie said silently as Spock made herself comfortable.

“I’m adapted to a significantly thinner atmosphere.” Spock’s answer echoed dryly in Jamie’s mind, but she had the impression Spock was secretly pleased.

“An artificial atmosphere?” Jamie said as she jogged across the schoolyard; she could only assume that such an advanced space-faring civilization would of course have moved on to colonizing and perhaps even terraforming other planets.

“No, Vulcan is not an empire; it does not aim to expand or colonize.” Spock seemed somewhat affronted but not seriously offended.

“My mistake,” Jamie said with an easy smile as she pushed open the doors to the school
