Hello everyone! I'm Daria (DragonFly), 20 yo, she/her, Russia. Something between ISFP-T (Adventurer) and INFP-A (Mediator) I am glad to interact with a foreign audience! My first hobby - art, my second hobby - I love to love characters, and then cry into the pillow with joy or regret for their fate... yeah..... If I ever write something strange or even offensive - TELL ME RIGHT AWAY, it's an accident, I use a translator and it doesn't always translate the meaning correctly!

Hello Tariq i love you okay?

I was kinda going for wild wing.. but i dont think they reach what i would call “wildwing wildness” so maybe ill repurpose another character to become a wild wing and keep Tariq as they are.

Drawing in a more book accurate style was actually really therapeutic, I do recommend!

do you like warrior cats(wc)? It’s actually so good and cats r pretty easy to draw(4 me) and in my opinion are way easier than dragons (but just a stupid question)

also, which part of dragons do you like to draw? I like drawing just headcanons cus they’re easy and fun, but the front legs(oh the misery) are pretty much like trying to draw a realistic drawing (which is so freaking hard) so how do you draw that? Also comment for how I can improve my art pls?:)

I've only read 1 book in the series. Think if I had read WC at the same time as WoF (≈2018), I would have been interested, but not now. Honestly, I sometimes sketch cats from memory, but don't save or publish it.

3. It is very difficult for me to criticize the skill of others, but I can say for sure that you are on the right way! I can only give you a couple of small tips. 1 - take a look at the bird's wing photos. I've roughly sketched out what the wing construction looks like. 2 - it is my personal taste, but for a tradition art I love using mechanical pencils! They are very thin, the sketches look neater, and all errors and extra lines are very easy to erase. But of course, the most standard, but always the best advice is constant practice :) Good luck!

is WOF very popular in Russia? ive noticed alot of artists for the fandom use Cyrillic (though my yank brain cant tell the difference between those languages yet due to lack of exposure) so im curious if its a big thing over there

No, our part of fandom is quite small. The most popular group in VK (Russian social network) has only 10k subscribers in more than 10 years of existence. Many artists know each other by their nicknames and styles. And if I mention WoF somewhere irl, they'll ask me what it is.

Although, for example, Warrior Cats are much more popular. In 8 years in the WoF fandom, I have never heard of this one anywhere, except in thematic communities. But I've heard about WC so often that I almost know the lore (I've only read one book)

And we don't have any festivals or big fan meetings dedicated to WoF. It is rare for fans to organize small markets where some artists sell their merch (including other fandoms). But this is a rare event, and usually takes place only in big cities.

An art gifting game

I spent 7 hours updating information about my characters… I may add a few more, but the most important preparation for Art Fight has been completed! This is my second year. I'll probably be a little busy in July, but I'll try to participate as actively as I can!
