10,000 years ago, Timaeus was once a Legendary Dragon Knight of Atlantis alongside his comrades under Dartz's rule. After the Orichalcos influenced the King, he and his fellow Knights joined the rebellion against him. Dartz managed to trap Timaeus and his comrades in their dragon forms, hoping to weaken them. During the War for Atlantis, the Knights fell and were sealed away. Until Yugi and Atem freed him from his long slumber. He aided them in taking down Dartz and restoring peace to the world before leaving to the Realm of the Monsters.

Poseidon saw fit to return Timaeus to the modern world. Atlantis was once a nation that was close with Greece and shared their Gods. And Poseidon wanted to reward Timaeus with another chance at life. He granted him the use of his dragon form, only to be used in dire circumstances (or when he needs to stretch his wings) and a small bit of magic. Timaeus is grateful for this gift and vows to make everyday count.

Timaeus had gotten off work early and had gone shopping. He wanted to get something for Atem's and Yugi's birthdays, as he couldn't figure out what to get them at the time. He finally settled on a a couple of things that he thought they would like, putting them in gift bags and waiting until they got home.

Atem and Yugi were able to get off work at a decent hour together, the two talking and laughing the whole time Yugi drove them home. The Egyptian was much more focused on game testing this week, which offered a lot more of a break from his coding projects he was assigned lately. While he didn’t mind doing them, it was testing that he was definitely more excited about. Usually because it also meant he got to stress test the game and purposely try to break it, which he always found amusing. Whereas the Japanese male got to enjoy working on continuing to build and tweak the game that Atem played.

Once Yugi parks, he smiles and leans in to press a soft kiss to Atem’s lips before unbuckling his seatbelt.

“Come on, let’s get inside,” he tells him, which Atem definitely agreed with. The pair grab their work bags and climb out of the car. Once it’s locked up, they make their way to the front door, Yugi unlocking the door before opening it up for them both. “We’re home!”

Once the door was closed, they both take their time in removing their shoes so they could finally settle and get comfortable back home.

Timaeus decided to work on a few things for the aquarium. Such as, possibly, organizing a strike against one of the owners. He did talk with the other two and they said that they would deal with them. He hoped so. He didn't want this great white shark dying because of someone's stupidity. He had his laptop on his lap when he heard a car door close outside. He sets his laptop aside and gets up, heading into the hallway to greet Yugi and Atem as they came in the door.

"Faraó mou. Agapiméni. Welcome home. How was you day?"

He didn't bother hiding the two gift bags on the coffee table. He wanted to see the look on their faces when they saw their gifts.

Yugi was the first one done with removing his shoes, so he was able to greet Timaeus a bit faster this time. He smiles brightly up to him and moves to wrap his arms around his neck, pressing a loving kiss to his lips.

“Hi, sweetheart~. It was good, nothing out of the ordinary this time,” he tells him afterwards, giggling and smiling up at him. Atem finishes unlacing and removing his boots, before he goes over to join them both. He wraps an arm around both of them before giving his soulmate a kiss next, nuzzling into him afterwards.

“Good to see you, habibi,” he greets warmly with a soft purr in his tone. He then nods in agreement to what his other half said about the day, chuckling a bit. “I got to do more stress testing of the game, so that’s always fun. How was your day, love?”

While Atem spoke, it was Yugi who happens to look and see the gift bags on the coffee table. He smiles brightly and gives the Egyptian a small nudge to point it out before looking to the Knight.

“Oooh, what were you up to? What’s this?”

Timaeus recuperates Yugi's kiss, hand going to his waist, thumb stroking his chosen's side. He turns his attention to Atem, wrapping his other arm around him and kissing him.

"Sounds like you two had fun. Mine was long. Still arguing with the third owner. Idiot won't back down."

He greatly disliked the third owner. The other two he liked and had become friends with them. He looked over his shoulder at the gift bags on the table and he smiled at both Yugi and Atem, gently tugging them to follow.

"I got you both something for your birthdays. I couldn't quite figure out what to get you both. Why don't you open them?"

Atem first hums in annoyance when he hears that Timaeus was still having to argue with the third owner.

“He’s still not relenting? What a piece of work…” Yugi murmurs as well, a flicker of sadness crossing over his features and through his eyes. He also knew how much this had been stressing out their partner, knowing how much love he put with each of the creatures he took care of and trained.

“What he is is an arrogant and greedy bastard who doesn’t care about the consequences of his own actions,” rather bluntly states with a roll of his eyes. However, once his and Yugi’s birthdays were mentioned and they were brought over towards the coffee table, they could both take the hint that maybe that wasn’t what the former Knight wanted to speak about.

“You’re so sweet! I’m sure whatever you picked we’ll love,” Yugi first reassures him with a kiss to his cheek and giggle. They first playfully pull Timaeus to sit between them on the couch before they took turns opening up their gifts. Atem first took out the choker, his right thumb gliding along the leather before pressing along the small spikes. He smiles and immediately puts it on since while he wore a gold sun pendant at the moment, he wasn’t wearing one of his chokers. The familiar feeling of leather around his neck was a welcomed feeling as he brings his right hand up to softly trace the silver heart that dangles in the center. He smiles and then pulls out the golden earrings, his gaze softening before he looks over at Timaeus and gives him a loving kiss.

“Hayati… they’re beautiful, thank you,” he tells him, giving him a soft nuzzle as well.

Yugi opens up his gifts next, first pulling out the silver charm bracelet. His eyes light up before he excitedly moves to clip it around his right wrist, shaking his right hand just a bit to hear the soft jingle of the different charms moving about.

“Oh, how pretty! I love all the different charms!” He coos affectionately before he then sees the second present in the bag. He squeals a b it in excitement, pulling out the dragon figure. “Oh wow! This’ll get to be the first dragon figure I paint too!” Then it was his turn to hug Timaeus close and give him an eager kiss, giggling and staying close to him.

Timaeus grinned, gratefully accepting his spot on the couch between Atem and Yugi, his arms resting along the back of the couch. He watches at Atem opens his gift first, his dragon internally purring. The choker looked really good on his soulmate and the earrings he knew would be a good match for him. He recuperates the loving kiss, his arm wrapping around his soulmate's shoulders and pulling him closer.

"I'm glad you love them, my Pharaoh."

He turns his head to watch Yugi next, sailing in amusement as his chosen immediately puts on the charm bracelet and then chuckling when he hears the other man squeal. He wraps his other arm around him and kissing him back.

"I'm glad that you both enjoy your gifts."

Atem smiles when his soulmate brought him in closer and returned the kiss. He purrs softly and leans in to press another kiss to his cheek around the same time as Yugi did the same in his other side.

“You picked out wonderful gifts, Hayati, thank you,” the Egyptian first says before nuzzling close to him.

“Absolutely! Yugi agrees cheerfully with a firm nod. He sets down the dragon figure back into the bag carefully before running a hand through Timaeus’ hair and looking to him adoringly. “You know us well~. Plus… Always a fan of new chokers~” Before the former Pharaoh had time to react, he suddenly felt a finger wrap around the metal heart charm in his choker, tugging him towards his partner and making him yelp slightly. His cheeks heat slightly and he gives him a bit of a playful glare.

“Hey, I didn’t say you could do that..!”

“I don’t hear you complaining about it~”

Timaeus purred receiving kisses from both Atem and Yugi. He nuzzles his soulmate back and leaning into his chosen's hand through his hair. He barely had time to blink as Yugi reached over and hooked his finger into the heart shaped charm of Atem's choker and tugging him forward towards the other. His eye widened as he felt his groin shift.

He smirked as he thought about what he should do in this situation. He could instigate this further but...he also had a lot on his mind, such as the whole 'bully the third owner into releasing the Great White' situation. He chooses to sit back, his hands traveling lower on his lover's to their sides, caressing lovingly.

"You two, I swear...you both can be so bad."

Atem had been watching something in bed while waiting for Timaeus to come back from a phone call with a co-worker. From what he could guess, it was likely about the poor great white at the aquarium. He hadn’t meant to, but he had started to doze a bit since he was all comfortable in the bed. He didn’t hear when the door to their bedroom opened and closed, however, he feels when someone climbs into the bed and snuggles up behind him. Immediately, he scoots back to press fully against the larger body hold him close from behind, making him coo softly in appreciation. Burgundy eyes flicker back open and he smiles.

“Everything okay, habibi?” He checks in to be sure, although he was already practically melting into his soulmate’s embrace.

Timaeus sighed as he climbed into bed with Atem. The other two owners were working hard on trying to free the shark before there was everlasting damage. He noticed that hi soulmate had fallen asleep and wrapped his arms around him, kissing the back of his neck. When he heard his voice, he cooed softly.

"Syngnómi, agápi mou. I didn't mean to wake you."

He kisses another kiss to his neck and sighed heavily. He pulls his Pharaoh closer to him, slotting a leg between his.

"Sort of. The other two owners are working to free the shark. They threatened to take the other owner to court, if they have to. It's just one big mess..."

Atem rolls over in bed as he slowly starts to wake up, yawning softly. He was used to waking up in Timaeus’ arms by this point, so he ends up snuggling into his chest closer and hums softly before pressing his lips against his bare chest a few times. He didn’t necessarily intend to wake him up, since he was perfectly content with staying in bed longer with him as long as time allowed. However, that didn’t mean that the smaller man didn’t also just enjoy peppering his husband in soft kisses and other forms of affection while he slept.

“So handsome~” he coos softly, mostly to himself.

“Okaaaaay,” Sadiq then says before carefully moving off of Timaeus in the bed. He slides down from the bed and runs off towards his own bedroom to get changed for the day.

Atem watches him and couldn’t help but to start laughing before looking over at his husband.

“You know, I really wonder where he gets all that drama from,” he mentions in a playfully sarcastic tone before leaning over to press a kiss to his lips. He starts to push the comforter off of himself so he can stretch and start to climb out of bed himself. “So much theatrics in a little body, where is he keeping it?”

Timaeus watches Sadiq leave the room before sitting up and stretching. He smirks with amusement as he kisses Atem back, moving to get up before laughing.

"Habibi, we both know where our son gets his drama from."

He teases his husband playfully as he moves over to the dresser pulling out his swim trunks and tank top, slipping them on. He walks over to his soulmate and kissing him on the forehead.

"I'm not sure. Probably his entire body. I'll go start breakfast."

He leaves, heading for the living room first and turning on the TV and putting on Dragon Tales for when Sadiq comes back out and heading to the kitchen to get started.

Oh yeah, the whole house knew where Sadiq got his drama and theatrics from Atem. The Egyptian playfully waves it off at first as he goes to get out his own swim trunks and tank top.

“You’re not wrong. Okay, I’ll be out in a second,” he replies, placing a quick kiss to his cheek as he pulls out his clothes to change into. Since his husband was making breakfast, he also figured he’d get together their small beach bag since he knew that once they got out to the shore, there was no telling how long they’d be out for.

Sadiq was soon coming out wearing a loose white t-shirt and blue-green island themed swim trunks and a pair of brown sandals. He recognizes one his favorite show’s intros, running out to watch while singing along excitedly. He giggles as he gets into his favorite spot on the couch before calling out, “Thank you, Daddy!” already knowing who had put on the show for him.

Timaeus had just pulled out what he needed to make breakfast when he heard Sadiq's small footsteps running down the hallway into the living room and calling out to thank him. He smiles as he gets to cooking; eggs, bacon, sausage patties. He uses the the bread to make eggs-in-a-basket. His dragon was already eager to get outside and teach his son how to properly control his shifts.

After a while, he sets the dining table, before calling his soulmate and his son into the room.

"Breakfast is ready, you two!"

He pulls out milk, orange juice and water, setting it on the table and setting their plates in their respective places.

Atem soon was coming out with their beach bag packed up, setting it down by the door. He sees their son running up towards the dining room, stepping around to playfully catch him in his arms. He lifts up the boy, listening to him squeal and giggle as he kisses his cheek and carries him the rest of the way to the table. He sets Sadiq down in his chair before scooting the chair back into the table. Afterwards, he moves to press a loving kiss to Timaeus’ lips before moving to also make himself a cup of coffee.

“Thank you for making breakfast, habibi. It looks wonderful,” he thanks him, while the small boy gives an eager nod in agreement.

“Thank you, Daddy!” He echos. When Atem finishes making his coffee he goes to join them both at the table.

Timaeus looks back over his shoulder to smile fondly at Atem and Sadiq, putting a glass of milk down in front of Sadiq. He kisses Atem back. He sits down next to his son on his right, ruffling the boy's hair.

"You're welcome, Habibi. And you, too, little spitfire."

He pours himself a glass of water as he takes a bite of his breakfast, looking over at his son.

"Take your time, little one. Don't scarf down your food. The beach will still be there."

He looks over at Atem next, smiling at him. He still couldn't believe that they were able to have a child.

"Everything ready to go?"

Upon hearing Timaeus’ words, Sadiq does promptly slow down on the way he was eating, trying not to laugh a little. He nods before swallowing and then reaching out for his milk, taking a sip.

“What if it just did disappear though?” Sadiq asks with wide eyes making Atem immediately laugh.

“I think we’d feel it if the beach decided to up and walk away,” he teases the smaller one before looking back to Timaeus smiling adoringly. He then nods before verbally answering his question.

“Towels, sun screen, Sadi’s swim vest, water shoes, and before we go I’ll be getting the lunch box and put in snacks and water bottles,” Atem lists off before continuing to eat.

“Oh! What about our sand castle stuff?” The small boy asks.

“Of course~. Oh, and the beach tent.”

“Baba, why do we need to wear sunscreen? !” Sadiq asks curiously.

“Too much of the suns rays can hurt your skin, especially since you’re young. The sunscreen helps keep your skin safe.”

Timaeus snickers, trying not choke on his food, his shoulders shaking with silent mirth. He shook his head with amusement.

"Indeed. We'd feel the earth tremble."

He nodded along to his husband's list. Seems like they had everything ready. He looks over at Sadiq as he asked about his sand castle stuff. He smiled, happy to see his son play so much.

"You could get sunburnt if you don't put on sunscreen, little spitfire. And you don't want that."

He sits back as he finishes up the last of his food, waiting until his Pharaoh and his son finish.

"Then you'd be stuck inside until your skin heals."

Sadiq makes a soft sound of understanding then, nodding before returning to his food. Atem finishes up his food before sipping on his coffee. He then reaches over and picks up his and Timaeus dishes. He sets his coffee cup down on the counter before moving to wash the dishes, humming. When the smaller boy ended up finishing his food as well, he picks up his dishes and walks them over to the sink. He starts to put them in the sink before Atem takes them instead to set them in the sink.

“Thank you, little one~” he says before leaning down to give him a kiss on the head. He then finishes up with the dishes and dries off his hands. He picks up his coffee mug and takes another drink. “Go get your sandals on and have Daddy put sunscreen on you. I’m going to finish up packing.”

“‘Kaaay!” Sadiq replies as he goes to get his sandals from the front door. Atem smiles as he watches him before moving to get a lunchbox and place in two ice packs. He then gets out some bottles of water to put in as well as some snacks.

Timaeus smiles in thanks to Atem before he ruffles Sadiq's hair and getting up, pushing his chair in and walking into the hallway. He grabs his son's sandals along with Atem's. He grabs a pair of flip flops for himself, knowing that he waa going to take them off anyway.

He grabs the sunscreen from the bag as Sadiq comes around the corner, handing him sandals.

"Arms out, spitfire, so I can put sunscreen on you."

Sadiq first takes a moment to slip on his sandals before looking back up to his father. He nods in agreement before lifting his arms up as he was told. He does his best to hold still though he does seem to bounce and squirm a little from being excited and ready to go.

Atem soon finishes up with packing the lunchbox zipping it closed before he wraps the strap over his shoulder and across his chest. He walks out of the kitchen to join his family. He chuckles when he sees their son’s excitement while finishing getting ready, reaching out to ruffle his hair before he moves to slip on his sandals as well. He leans over to his husband to press a kiss to his cheek.

“Once everyone has sunscreen on, I believe we’ll be all set,” he then tells them as he picked up the bottle of sunscreen to add some to his hand to start applying as well.

Timaeus begins lathering sunscreen onto Sadiq's skin, smiling with amusement at how eager his son is to get to the beach. He makes sure to get his legs, his back, front, behind his neck. He carefully gets his face as well, booping his nose once he's done.

"There. All done."

He stands up after Atem kisses his cheek, humming softly.

"Need help getting your back, Habibi?"

Sadiq managed to hold still enough to get covered in sunscreen, although he does make a bit of a face when the cream is rubbed onto his face as well. He closes his eyes and waits for the boop to his nose to know he can open his eyes again, smiling brightly.

“Baba’s turn~” he coos out with a giggle.

“Yes, thank you, habibi~” Atem first replies as he finishes off where he could reach. He hadn’t done his face yet, purposely since he knew with how excited their little one was, he’d need a little distraction. “Sadi, will come help me put some on my face?”

“Yes!” The boy agrees moving over and lifting up his arms to be picked up. The Egyptian chuckles and picks him up, resting him against his right hip. Once he was settled and had his hands out, Aten adds a little sunscreen into them before handing the bottle over to Timaeus. He closes his eyes and lets Sadiq put the sunscreen on him.

Timaeus grins, applying a some sunscreen to Atem's back. He rubs it in slow circles, making sure to get the back of his neck as well. He had a fond and adoring smile on his face, his dragon purring at the scene in front of him. He never would have imagined that he would have a family like this. He gives his soulmate's shoulders a squeeze, indicating that he was done.

"There. All set."

He puts the sunscreen into the bag and slips the straps over his shoulder, running a mental check. Towels, floaties for Sadiq, Atem has the snacks, sand castle equipment.

"I think we're ready."

He had been taught very early how to be gentle to keep from hurting someone, but especially not to accidentally tug on their face or accidentally scratch them. He rubs small circles against the copper skin, humming as he went. He also was remembering not to leave long white streaks like he maybe did a time or two before. Then, copying Timaeus from earlier, he gives Atem’s nose a soft boop to let him know he was done, giggling softly.

Atem opens his eyes then and chuckles, first placing a kiss to their son’s cheek before setting him down, knowing the boy would want to walk himself to the beach like a big boy. He then turns to press a kiss to his husband’s lips, his own smile reflecting that same love and adoration as he adjusts the lunch box on his shoulder.

“I think we are too. Away we go~” he then declares as he playfully scoots their son between them and takes one of Sadi’s hands. The boy giggles and gently tugs on the former Pharaoh to lead him towards the door outside, closest to letting them all out onto the beach.

Atem first hums in annoyance when he hears that Timaeus was still having to argue with the third owner.

“He’s still not relenting? What a piece of work…” Yugi murmurs as well, a flicker of sadness crossing over his features and through his eyes. He also knew how much this had been stressing out their partner, knowing how much love he put with each of the creatures he took care of and trained.

“What he is is an arrogant and greedy bastard who doesn’t care about the consequences of his own actions,” rather bluntly states with a roll of his eyes. However, once his and Yugi’s birthdays were mentioned and they were brought over towards the coffee table, they could both take the hint that maybe that wasn’t what the former Knight wanted to speak about.

“You’re so sweet! I’m sure whatever you picked we’ll love,” Yugi first reassures him with a kiss to his cheek and giggle. They first playfully pull Timaeus to sit between them on the couch before they took turns opening up their gifts. Atem first took out the choker, his right thumb gliding along the leather before pressing along the small spikes. He smiles and immediately puts it on since while he wore a gold sun pendant at the moment, he wasn’t wearing one of his chokers. The familiar feeling of leather around his neck was a welcomed feeling as he brings his right hand up to softly trace the silver heart that dangles in the center. He smiles and then pulls out the golden earrings, his gaze softening before he looks over at Timaeus and gives him a loving kiss.

“Hayati… they’re beautiful, thank you,” he tells him, giving him a soft nuzzle as well.

Yugi opens up his gifts next, first pulling out the silver charm bracelet. His eyes light up before he excitedly moves to clip it around his right wrist, shaking his right hand just a bit to hear the soft jingle of the different charms moving about.

Tell the other two owners that if they don't strong-arm the third one that you and the crew will go on strike. Then if they waffle on it, actually do go on strike." Critias spoke for quite a while, hoping to offer words that would help his Scalebond out. Timaeus presses a soft kiss to Yugi's lips, glad to see his chosen excites to spend that day at the fair. His dragon trilled in his mind.

"He will. It will be a nice change of pace."

He pats his chosen's side, stifling a yawn as he stretched slightly while Yugi is on top of him.

"We should get up and start getting ready."

Timaeus had gotten off work early and had gone shopping. He wanted to get something for Atem's and Yugi's birthdays, as he couldn't figure out what to get them at the time. He finally settled on a a couple of things that he thought they would like, putting them in gift bags and waiting until they got home.

Atem and Yugi were able to get off work at a decent hour together, the two talking and laughing the whole time Yugi drove them home. The Egyptian was much more focused on game testing this week, which offered a lot more of a break from his coding projects he was assigned lately. While he didn’t mind doing them, it was testing that he was definitely more excited about. Usually because it also meant he got to stress test the game and purposely try to break it, which he always found amusing. Whereas the Japanese male got to enjoy working on continuing to build and tweak the game that Atem played.

Once Yugi parks, he smiles and leans in to press a soft kiss to Atem’s lips before unbuckling his seatbelt.

“Come on, let’s get inside,” he tells him, which Atem definitely agreed with. The pair grab their work bags and climb out of the car. Once it’s locked up, they make their way to the front door, Yugi unlocking the door before opening it up for them both. “We’re home!”

Once the door was closed, they both take their time in removing their shoes so they could finally settle and get comfortable back home.

Timaeus decided to work on a few things for the aquarium. Such as, possibly, organizing a strike against one of the owners. He did talk with the other two and they said that they would deal with them. He hoped so. He didn't want this great white shark dying because of someone's stupidity. He had his laptop on his lap when he heard a car door close outside. He sets his laptop aside and gets up, heading into the hallway to greet Yugi and Atem as they came in the door.

"Faraó mou. Agapiméni. Welcome home. How was you day?"

He didn't bother hiding the two gift bags on the coffee table. He wanted to see the look on their faces when they saw their gifts.

Yugi was the first one done with removing his shoes, so he was able to greet Timaeus a bit faster this time. He smiles brightly up to him and moves to wrap his arms around his neck, pressing a loving kiss to his lips.

“Hi, sweetheart~. It was good, nothing out of the ordinary this time,” he tells him afterwards, giggling and smiling up at him. Atem finishes unlacing and removing his boots, before he goes over to join them both. He wraps an arm around both of them before giving his soulmate a kiss next, nuzzling into him afterwards.

“Good to see you, habibi,” he greets warmly with a soft purr in his tone. He then nods in agreement to what his other half said about the day, chuckling a bit. “I got to do more stress testing of the game, so that’s always fun. How was your day, love?”

While Atem spoke, it was Yugi who happens to look and see the gift bags on the coffee table. He smiles brightly and gives the Egyptian a small nudge to point it out before looking to the Knight.

“Oooh, what were you up to? What’s this?”

Timaeus recuperates Yugi's kiss, hand going to his waist, thumb stroking his chosen's side. He turns his attention to Atem, wrapping his other arm around him and kissing him.

"Sounds like you two had fun. Mine was long. Still arguing with the third owner. Idiot won't back down."

He greatly disliked the third owner. The other two he liked and had become friends with them. He looked over his shoulder at the gift bags on the table and he smiled at both Yugi and Atem, gently tugging them to follow.

"I got you both something for your birthdays. I couldn't quite figure out what to get you both. Why don't you open them?"

Atem rolls over in bed as he slowly starts to wake up, yawning softly. He was used to waking up in Timaeus’ arms by this point, so he ends up snuggling into his chest closer and hums softly before pressing his lips against his bare chest a few times. He didn’t necessarily intend to wake him up, since he was perfectly content with staying in bed longer with him as long as time allowed. However, that didn’t mean that the smaller man didn’t also just enjoy peppering his husband in soft kisses and other forms of affection while he slept.

“So handsome~” he coos softly, mostly to himself.

“Okaaaaay,” Sadiq then says before carefully moving off of Timaeus in the bed. He slides down from the bed and runs off towards his own bedroom to get changed for the day.

Atem watches him and couldn’t help but to start laughing before looking over at his husband.

“You know, I really wonder where he gets all that drama from,” he mentions in a playfully sarcastic tone before leaning over to press a kiss to his lips. He starts to push the comforter off of himself so he can stretch and start to climb out of bed himself. “So much theatrics in a little body, where is he keeping it?”

Timaeus watches Sadiq leave the room before sitting up and stretching. He smirks with amusement as he kisses Atem back, moving to get up before laughing.

"Habibi, we both know where our son gets his drama from."

He teases his husband playfully as he moves over to the dresser pulling out his swim trunks and tank top, slipping them on. He walks over to his soulmate and kissing him on the forehead.

"I'm not sure. Probably his entire body. I'll go start breakfast."

He leaves, heading for the living room first and turning on the TV and putting on Dragon Tales for when Sadiq comes back out and heading to the kitchen to get started.

Oh yeah, the whole house knew where Sadiq got his drama and theatrics from Atem. The Egyptian playfully waves it off at first as he goes to get out his own swim trunks and tank top.

“You’re not wrong. Okay, I’ll be out in a second,” he replies, placing a quick kiss to his cheek as he pulls out his clothes to change into. Since his husband was making breakfast, he also figured he’d get together their small beach bag since he knew that once they got out to the shore, there was no telling how long they’d be out for.

Sadiq was soon coming out wearing a loose white t-shirt and blue-green island themed swim trunks and a pair of brown sandals. He recognizes one his favorite show’s intros, running out to watch while singing along excitedly. He giggles as he gets into his favorite spot on the couch before calling out, “Thank you, Daddy!” already knowing who had put on the show for him.

Timaeus had just pulled out what he needed to make breakfast when he heard Sadiq's small footsteps running down the hallway into the living room and calling out to thank him. He smiles as he gets to cooking; eggs, bacon, sausage patties. He uses the the bread to make eggs-in-a-basket. His dragon was already eager to get outside and teach his son how to properly control his shifts.

After a while, he sets the dining table, before calling his soulmate and his son into the room.

"Breakfast is ready, you two!"

He pulls out milk, orange juice and water, setting it on the table and setting their plates in their respective places.

Atem soon was coming out with their beach bag packed up, setting it down by the door. He sees their son running up towards the dining room, stepping around to playfully catch him in his arms. He lifts up the boy, listening to him squeal and giggle as he kisses his cheek and carries him the rest of the way to the table. He sets Sadiq down in his chair before scooting the chair back into the table. Afterwards, he moves to press a loving kiss to Timaeus’ lips before moving to also make himself a cup of coffee.

“Thank you for making breakfast, habibi. It looks wonderful,” he thanks him, while the small boy gives an eager nod in agreement.

“Thank you, Daddy!” He echos. When Atem finishes making his coffee he goes to join them both at the table.

Timaeus looks back over his shoulder to smile fondly at Atem and Sadiq, putting a glass of milk down in front of Sadiq. He kisses Atem back. He sits down next to his son on his right, ruffling the boy's hair.

"You're welcome, Habibi. And you, too, little spitfire."

He pours himself a glass of water as he takes a bite of his breakfast, looking over at his son.

"Take your time, little one. Don't scarf down your food. The beach will still be there."

He looks over at Atem next, smiling at him. He still couldn't believe that they were able to have a child.

"Everything ready to go?"

Upon hearing Timaeus’ words, Sadiq does promptly slow down on the way he was eating, trying not to laugh a little. He nods before swallowing and then reaching out for his milk, taking a sip.

“What if it just did disappear though?” Sadiq asks with wide eyes making Atem immediately laugh.

“I think we’d feel it if the beach decided to up and walk away,” he teases the smaller one before looking back to Timaeus smiling adoringly. He then nods before verbally answering his question.

“Towels, sun screen, Sadi’s swim vest, water shoes, and before we go I’ll be getting the lunch box and put in snacks and water bottles,” Atem lists off before continuing to eat.

“Oh! What about our sand castle stuff?” The small boy asks.

“Of course~. Oh, and the beach tent.”

“Baba, why do we need to wear sunscreen? !” Sadiq asks curiously.

“Too much of the suns rays can hurt your skin, especially since you’re young. The sunscreen helps keep your skin safe.”

Timaeus snickers, trying not choke on his food, his shoulders shaking with silent mirth. He shook his head with amusement.

"Indeed. We'd feel the earth tremble."

He nodded along to his husband's list. Seems like they had everything ready. He looks over at Sadiq as he asked about his sand castle stuff. He smiled, happy to see his son play so much.

"You could get sunburnt if you don't put on sunscreen, little spitfire. And you don't want that."

He sits back as he finishes up the last of his food, waiting until his Pharaoh and his son finish.

"Then you'd be stuck inside until your skin heals."

Sadiq makes a soft sound of understanding then, nodding before returning to his food. Atem finishes up his food before sipping on his coffee. He then reaches over and picks up his and Timaeus dishes. He sets his coffee cup down on the counter before moving to wash the dishes, humming. When the smaller boy ended up finishing his food as well, he picks up his dishes and walks them over to the sink. He starts to put them in the sink before Atem takes them instead to set them in the sink.

“Thank you, little one~” he says before leaning down to give him a kiss on the head. He then finishes up with the dishes and dries off his hands. He picks up his coffee mug and takes another drink. “Go get your sandals on and have Daddy put sunscreen on you. I’m going to finish up packing.”

“‘Kaaay!” Sadiq replies as he goes to get his sandals from the front door. Atem smiles as he watches him before moving to get a lunchbox and place in two ice packs. He then gets out some bottles of water to put in as well as some snacks.

Timaeus smiles in thanks to Atem before he ruffles Sadiq's hair and getting up, pushing his chair in and walking into the hallway. He grabs his son's sandals along with Atem's. He grabs a pair of flip flops for himself, knowing that he waa going to take them off anyway.

He grabs the sunscreen from the bag as Sadiq comes around the corner, handing him sandals.

"Arms out, spitfire, so I can put sunscreen on you."

Sadiq first takes a moment to slip on his sandals before looking back up to his father. He nods in agreement before lifting his arms up as he was told. He does his best to hold still though he does seem to bounce and squirm a little from being excited and ready to go.

Atem soon finishes up with packing the lunchbox zipping it closed before he wraps the strap over his shoulder and across his chest. He walks out of the kitchen to join his family. He chuckles when he sees their son’s excitement while finishing getting ready, reaching out to ruffle his hair before he moves to slip on his sandals as well. He leans over to his husband to press a kiss to his cheek.

“Once everyone has sunscreen on, I believe we’ll be all set,” he then tells them as he picked up the bottle of sunscreen to add some to his hand to start applying as well.

Timaeus begins lathering sunscreen onto Sadiq's skin, smiling with amusement at how eager his son is to get to the beach. He makes sure to get his legs, his back, front, behind his neck. He carefully gets his face as well, booping his nose once he's done.

"There. All done."

He stands up after Atem kisses his cheek, humming softly.

"Need help getting your back, Habibi?"

Sadiq managed to hold still enough to get covered in sunscreen, although he does make a bit of a face when the cream is rubbed onto his face as well. He closes his eyes and waits for the boop to his nose to know he can open his eyes again, smiling brightly.

“Baba’s turn~” he coos out with a giggle.

“Yes, thank you, habibi~” Atem first replies as he finishes off where he could reach. He hadn’t done his face yet, purposely since he knew with how excited their little one was, he’d need a little distraction. “Sadi, will come help me put some on my face?”

“Yes!” The boy agrees moving over and lifting up his arms to be picked up. The Egyptian chuckles and picks him up, resting him against his right hip. Once he was settled and had his hands out, Aten adds a little sunscreen into them before handing the bottle over to Timaeus. He closes his eyes and lets Sadiq put the sunscreen on him.

Timaeus grins, applying a some sunscreen to Atem's back. He rubs it in slow circles, making sure to get the back of his neck as well. He had a fond and adoring smile on his face, his dragon purring at the scene in front of him. He never would have imagined that he would have a family like this. He gives his soulmate's shoulders a squeeze, indicating that he was done.

"There. All set."

He puts the sunscreen into the bag and slips the straps over his shoulder, running a mental check. Towels, floaties for Sadiq, Atem has the snacks, sand castle equipment.

"I think we're ready."

Critias was mixing himself a cocktail on the kitchen counter when he is suddenly taken by the hand and lead over to the sofa. "Is...Everything alright darling?" Critias asks with a puzzled look and tilt of his head.

Timaeus had been on edge all day. Over the curator of the aquarium pressuring him on making sure this new shark will survive and on top of keeping a big secret from his lovers, he couldn't take it anymore. He grabs Critias' hand and leads him over to the sofa, pushing him down onto it before straddling him. He needed his Scalebond right now.

Timaeus moans into the kiss as Critias recuperates with fervor. He is breathless as he is pushed away a bit, chest heaving. He shook his head.

"No, it's not my rut. I am...I am stressed, I kardiá mou."

He takes a second, choosing his words carefully. He purrs from the hand running through his hair.

"It's one of the owners. They are insisting on having a Great White Shark in one of the tanks. I've told them again and again that it won't work. Great Whites never survive in captivity."

He sighs heavily as his dragon whimpers in his mind.

"I had another argument with them today in front of my co-workers, who backed me up, and the other two owners of the aquarium...I've tried swimming and flying off this energy...I need relief..."

"Hrm..." Critias let out as he listened to his best friend speak. "Is there no governmental authority you can go to to force them to release the shark? Anyone who knows anything about sharks knows you can't keep Great Whites in captivity. If it's just the one owner, can't the other two owners along with you and the other employees force them to release the shark? How about organizing a strike or something like that, I don't, know most of my jobs had me in a sort of isolated position where I was by myself the whole time. Like when I was armed security at a bank or a bouncer at the door of a club. I didn't really have 'coworkers' in the sense like you do. Tell the other two owners that if they don't strong-arm the third one that you and the crew will go on strike. Then if they waffle on it, actually do go on strike." Critias spoke for quite a while, hoping to offer words that would help his Scalebond out. He continued to run his fingers through Timaeus' hair as his other arm wrapped around the smaller male's waist.

Timaeus considered Critias' words for a moment. There was a governmental authority that he could to. And he also had the support of the other two owners. Maybe he could convince them to get the other to release the shark.

"I think I could do it. I think a couple of my co-workers are already organizing a strike. But I'd rather do this with as little drama as possible."

He hums softly, pressing himself impossibly closer to his Scalebond. He rests his head in the crook of his neck, kissing the mark there.

Critias nodded along as Timaeus told him what was happening. "See? Your coworkers are already working on things as well. I'd tell them to hold off on the strike until you need to. Get all the employees who want to release the shark to sign a petition and then you and the other two owners confront the third one. If that doesn't work...Then do the strike. Or at least, threaten to do a strike." Critias shivered when Timaeus kissed the mark on his neck, and he pulled him closer. "You've got me I psychi mou...Until the heat death of the universe..." He leaned in and began to kiss along the mark he'd left on Timaeus. "Where my love? Here or in one of the bedrooms?"

Timaeus hummed in thought and nodded along with Critias' words. He whined softly as he his pulled closer.

"Agreed. I'm sure the third owner will back down when I speak to the other two."

He pulls away slightly to look at the lavender-eyed Knight. He tilts his head to the side to give his Scalebond more room. He bites his lip and moans softly.

"Here, please."

He looked over to the side, expecting to find Atem. His mind was still pushing through thr fog of sleep. He frowned slightly. He knows he went to bed with him last night so where...

Yugi smiles when he feels Timaeus return one of the kisses to his cheek. He nods in response to his first question, giving a few scratches to the top of his head.

“Mhm, I did too,” he tells him. He then moves to be able to nuzzle his cheek against the former Knight’s chest, now pressing a few kisses there as well.

“He is~. It’s rare we happen to wake up before you both. We thought it would be funny to switch beds and wake you up,” he explains with a small giggle.

"Hmm, it is. Critias and I are usually up earlier than you and Atem."

He chuckles softly.

"Well, I am very amused, Yugi."

Yugi hums softly, first leaning back into the touches to his hair. He closes his eyes, staying there for a few moments before deciding to change positions a bit. Mainly he ends up playfully scooting to lie on top of Timaeus. He folds his arms on top of his chosen’s chest before resting his chin on top of his arms. He looks into the other’s teal eye. A loving smile spreads over his face as he then laughs.

“Well, I’m glad. Have any plans for the weekend, sweetheart?” He then asks him curiously just enjoying the slower, comfortable moment.

Timaeus grins as Yugi adjusts his position to lay on top of him. He moves the pillow behind him to be able to look down at his chosen resting on his chest.

"None. Just spend time with you, Atem and Critias, agapiméni."

He thought for a minute. They almost always go down to the beach or lounge around the house. As much as he loves going to the beach, they needed a change of scenery. And that's when it hit him.

"How about we all go to the fair today? A few of my co-workers have been talking about it."

Timaeus had gotten off work early and had gone shopping. He wanted to get something for Atem's and Yugi's birthdays, as he couldn't figure out what to get them at the time. He finally settled on a a couple of things that he thought they would like, putting them in gift bags and waiting until they got home.

Atem and Yugi were able to get off work at a decent hour together, the two talking and laughing the whole time Yugi drove them home. The Egyptian was much more focused on game testing this week, which offered a lot more of a break from his coding projects he was assigned lately. While he didn’t mind doing them, it was testing that he was definitely more excited about. Usually because it also meant he got to stress test the game and purposely try to break it, which he always found amusing. Whereas the Japanese male got to enjoy working on continuing to build and tweak the game that Atem played.

Once Yugi parks, he smiles and leans in to press a soft kiss to Atem’s lips before unbuckling his seatbelt.

“Come on, let’s get inside,” he tells him, which Atem definitely agreed with. The pair grab their work bags and climb out of the car. Once it’s locked up, they make their way to the front door, Yugi unlocking the door before opening it up for them both. “We’re home!”

Once the door was closed, they both take their time in removing their shoes so they could finally settle and get comfortable back home.

Timaeus decided to work on a few things for the aquarium. Such as, possibly, organizing a strike against one of the owners. He did talk with the other two and they said that they would deal with them. He hoped so. He didn't want this great white shark dying because of someone's stupidity. He had his laptop on his lap when he heard a car door close outside. He sets his laptop aside and gets up, heading into the hallway to greet Yugi and Atem as they came in the door.

"Faraó mou. Agapiméni. Welcome home. How was you day?"

He didn't bother hiding the two gift bags on the coffee table. He wanted to see the look on their faces when they saw their gifts.

Timaeus smiled as Kisara kissed the scar of his right eye. He wraps his arms around her in a gentle embrace, kissing her cheek softly.

"Hello to you, too, sweetheart."

Gently she pressed another over the uneven skin of the scar. It was hard to believe there was ever a time before it, that there was ever a time when she actually looked forward to going home alone. Now on most days it was him who occupied her thoughts, hearing his voice was always the best part of her day.

So when they were together it was like a breath of fresh air, the perfect rejuvenation after a long day of work.

"Mm, and how's my sweet Tinneen."

Timaeus purred, nuzzling Kisara and giving her a sweet kiss to her lips.

"I'm doing well, to fengári mou."

He squeezed her gently. He loved getting to see her and hear how her day has gone, offering comfort and sometime to themselves if it was bad.

"I take it work wasn't to bad then?"

With a wider smile she leaned rubbing noses before reciprocating the kiss. "Well I've got some good news. You'll be happy to know I've now officially been on the pill for a whole week."

Not once since they'd begun being more sexually intimate had there ever been a need to rush beyond what they currently had the limitations even adding to the fun, but that didn't mean she never wanted to do other things and now they had the peace of mind of some of the risk of any accidents being mitigated.

Timaeus shook his head.

"No. Mostly the same."

He purrs, smiling as Kisara rubbed her nose with his. His dragon cooed in his mind.

"That's great, sweetheart."

He cupped her cheek, thumb stroking her pale skin. Since they started to get more sexually intimate, he would hold back a bit. He wanted to wait until she felt more comfortable.

"Whenever you feel you are ready, to fengári mou. Like I said, we'll go at your pace."
