To be very fair I know we think she’s fast tracking this whole thing like crazy but she’s very much like that. She’s said it many times like why waste time when you want something and she wanted things and went for them. If you think about it most of her life has been fast tracked. Being a teen star is crazy work. Most of them make more than their parents ever do at like age 16. You become an adult very fast. And she’s been working NONSTOP ever since.
I’m sure most people if given the choice would want their kids to be closer in age as well as when their support systems are around - like family, grandparents etc are able to help out. So it makes sense. Also if she's taking a slight step back from her career (I mean she stilled filmed a whole ass movie but I mean obviously she's going to do a bit less than before) it makes sense to do it all in one stretch and then come back to it in full force when she can. As long as people can financially do it ( makes sense when someone said it’s a rich people thing because truly 2 under 2 in this economy so soon is crazy work) go for it. Personally I be getting whiplash but that’s her thing.
But y’all I been silent because Maria gonna hate us all haha but I have weird feelings. On the one hand I’m like I know this is what she wanted but on the other hand something doesn’t feel right.
To be very honest I don’t think they are in love with each other. And most marriages won’t end in being IN love with your partner - that’s okay. There will BE love but mostly it’s about a partnership and being like okay we choose this path because our goals are aligning. Fair enough.
I’ve never been a big Austin fan but I think that’s what he meant like love isn’t enough. He wasn’t wrong. They loved each other but they had different goals. That’s why I could never get behind the whole fairytale-ness of her and Cole because it’s pretty straightforward. When she’s like oh I think I can marry this guy she was looking for a husband in this phase of life so naturally anyone she pairs up with she’s thinking those things. And he obviously liked her because a) she’s her (every millennials crush)! b) she’s actually wonderful and family oriented and kind etc and would make a great wife/mum. But it’s kind of like that quote like “Marry a man who wants to be a husband not just a man who wants a wife.” And I mean after listening to the podcast it’s cool that he’s being present and such but guys the bar is so low. Why are we being impressed by someone taking care of his kid and family. It’s not that crazy. (Not talking about you guys commenting on it I meant others on TikTok and stuff too like OMG he’s the sweetest. Yes, I’m sure he is but not for parenting his son plz. That’s bare minimum.)
I do wish he was a bit more stable like he had a career. It’s wild to think he just retired and will have two kids like I KNOW she’s pulling the weight financially. And sure, money isn’t everything but it is though…
I hate that successful women always be subconsciously going after ‘projects.’ Like she will support him in anything he does which is great but like damn why couldn’t she have married someone who had a stable and successful career too. I get that people will think emotionally he’s mature and stuff but like what about other things. Girly gon be burned out in a couple of years. 2 under 2, still filming, still running multiple businesses while she supports her hubby’s latest hobbies. But hey, if she happy then I’m just a random internet troll letting out steam. She got this. And of course eventually I'll get over it and I will support. (Sorry don't be mad at this rant, Maria. Thanks for all that you do).
I was in agreement with the first part
this whole message🙏agreed more than ever! this love story doesn't seem totally right for me from the very beginning.
