My mom and I just got back from the movie theater after watching the Obsession movie and now I have unhinged story ideas swirling around in my head.

Picture this: the plot of Obsession but with Richter Belmont and Olrox. It’s an alternate universe where Mizrak never meets Olrox and Richter is more in tune with his Speaker ancestry.

Olrox still killed Richter’s mother Julia. Richter, wary of the news that Olrox arrived in France, finds the Castlevania version of the One Wish Willow, except it’s fused with powerful Speaker magician magic. Belmont snaps the stick thinking the spell will keep Olrox away due to his fear.

This goes horribly wrong. He didn’t break a Willow to defect Olrox away from him, he broke a Willow that makes the Aztec vampire obsessed with him. Richter notices little things at first, small lilies laid out on his pillow while alone in the cottage, a sudden lack of night creatures close to his home, he wakes up swearing he heard a voice crooning into his ear in Spanish and Nahuatl.

It gets to the point that night creatures avoid him entirely, no vampires go hear him, Drolta doesn’t even dare to try. He’s safe, but he’s also isolated. It all comes to a head when Richter looks out his bedroom window one night and sees his nightmare made flesh that’s haunted him since he was a child. Olrox stares at him with clear devotion despite being coated in night creature blood. Belmont can try to run or hide, but knows it’s useless. The Aztec is obsessed with him now, to the point of killing anyone he sees as Richter’s enemy and then crooning over Belmont like a sacred treasure. 🩸⚜️
