Last episode might be the most down bad we’ve ever seen Imogen our girl was struggling. First Laudna with her new Domme like form of dread then the disintegrate. Sub Imogen was in full effect last episode and she wanted Laudna bad.

I think people overreact way to much to things in the CR fandom. Like the people trying to shit on the cast for wanting Fearne to have the shard. Look happy Ashley was tonight and look at how much fun she had that’s why they pushed Fearne to take it because Ashley deserves it.
I also think people are a bit overreacting to the Imogen circlet thing too. Is it a big moment yes but it was always going to happen because the item isn’t actually all that good. It’s big for RP but mechanically it helps very little and is a fairly weak item. If you’re Laura out of game why would you want this item on your character when it removes something you wanted your character to struggle with and it really doesn’t make her stronger. I think they’ll be some RP and her adjusting without the circlet but the amount of people jumping to this is Imogen 100% diving into her self harm mindset is a bit much to me. I think this was primarily an out of game decision because the item just stifles RP and isn’t worth the attunement slot it’s asking.
Laudna did revert a bit, but man I think Imogen would be so proud if she knew exactly what Delilah was saying to Laudna and how Laudna didn’t give in and pushed back. I think Marisha did a fantastic job highlighting a very manipulative relationship and the effect it can have on a person and how it can do so much damage quickly. I think Imogen and Laudna definitely need to talk but I really liked where we ended off with Laudna, all of Delilah’s manipulative tactics didn’t totally stick and she still trusts Imogen and I think most of the group.
I’m a massive shipper myself but Beau and Caleb I think might be the best relationship in critical role history. The journey these two went on from being people who genuinely despised each other to being best friends and understanding each other better then anyone else with the only exception being their spouses has been amazing to witness. I want more M9 because to me Beau and Caleb add a dimension to the show I don’t think we get in any other campaign. It feels like Marisha completely understands Caleb and Liam completely understands Beau and they bounce off one another perfectly because they completely understand each others character. I love my empire siblings and I want to see more of them as soon as possible because their friendship is 2nd to none I love them so much.
I love the CR community but my god y’all take shit way to seriously. The whole Laudna being worried about Imogen thing was clearly just a joke, Laudna wasn’t acting like serious Laudna she was acting like old chaotic Laudna. The amount of people I’ve seen be oh my god this is unhealthy, she doesn’t trust Ashton who’s next. If you rewatch last nights episode you’d see Marisha didn’t know they left and didn’t know where they were going or what they were doing.
To me Marisha was role playing herself missing all that information that’s it. So from Laudna’s POV Ashton and Imogen just disappeared and she doesn’t know where they went or even knew they were leaving. Genuinely it’s not that serious, I’d like to remind all you this is is a game and this is IMPROV not everything is some elaborate scene with tons of subtext some of it is just comedy and stuff they do for fun.
Also Laudna isn’t being any different towards Imogen, she’s always been extremely protective flash back to her threatening Ashton if anything happened to her and flash back again when she said she’d murder literally everyone if something happened to Imogen. Their relationship is really no different at all and some of y’all are just being weird and trying to find weird things where there is none.
There is only so much time and the amount of people going OMG no one’s talking, like yes not everything will be talked about, having a 5 hour session of nothing but 1-1’s would be fun for us the cast not so much. They’ve only been reunited for really like 5 episodes and 3 of those have had 2 hour long combat encounters there has been no time really for insanely long conversations. We’ll get some conversations eventually but y’all got to be fucking patient.
Lastly Marisha didn’t get this relationship sprung on her Matt confirmed on talks that Marisha and Laura have discussed Imogen and Laudna’s relationship. Matt said Marisha was shocked it happened then and there because she didn’t know it was coming but Matt even said Marisha probably knew about Imogen’s feelings so can we please also put that to bed that Marisha has had zero idea about a possible Imogen/Laudna romance.
I really hope Matt gives Imogen and Laudna a visit from the moon weaver, she fits both so well. It also would bring so much more intrigue into the campaign with the gods listening to people like Laudna and Imogen who feel like they’re nothing and something the gods want to get rid of. I think talking and conversing with a god will help both so much.
Man what a night for Imodna shippers. We got Sam pushing Laura and Marisha to talk about it. We also got an entire battle of Imodna moments with them protecting and saving each other what a night.
I’m confused as to why some think Laudna hasn’t fully processed her feelings for Imogen. To me it seems like Laura was giving Marisha an immediate out if she didn’t want to do this. Marisha then waxed poetically about how she needs Imogen in her life and needs Imogen beside her and then kissed her. Marisha then played Laudna as incredibly happy and jovial, maybe it’s just me but I don’t see how that means she’s not fully bought in. I think people are just wanting angst and conflict where there isn’t any.
Day 631
Yes!
“I kiss her again.”

My intrigue about the relationship between Imogen and Laudna multiplied by like 3 this episode. Imogen constantly telling JUST LAUDNA that she didn’t have sex with anyone is very interesting. Imogen then for some reason getting flustered when FRIDA revealed she called Laudna beautifully scary like she hasn’t done it multiple times before even directly to Laudna.
The ending is the most interesting part where BOTH Imogen and Laudna didn’t look pleased with how intimate the other was getting with the goodbyes. Like this isn’t a YU situation there should be no jealousy here but there is. I’m very interested where they go from here.
What we’re seeing tonight is what an Ashley/Laura romance could look like. Give me Arlo and Auggie and give me Fearne and Imogen I’m greedy and I want both.
I don’t understand people who think there is going to be group conflict. First off if there is a set of characters who have no leg to stand on morally it’s Fearne/FCG/Imogen/Chet, Chet and FCG can go off any minute on anyone, Fearne is pure chaos and Imogen has to be talked out of joining the other side consistently.
How is Imogen going to go up to Orym, Ashton and Laudna and preach morals when she hyped up by Chet had no issue frying an innocent group of adventurers just trying to win a challenge. Chet also maimed a shop keeper because he was overcharged, I don’t see how they can judge what has been the most moral ones among them.
I feel like people are overreacting, people saying Deanna and Frida completely changed them, THEY’VE KNOWN EACH OTHER FOR A WEEK. Laudna didn’t even change Imogen that much in 3 years and 2 people Imogen rarely even talked to changed her entire world view in a week. There is going to be next to no group conflict. I see the other group talking to and trying to help Orym, Laudna and Ashton because it’d be so out of character and odd to have the most immoral characters turn on the more moral ones after one slip up.
I really wish team Issylra got more episodes, not to hate on team Wildemount but I felt this group way more interesting when it came down to dealing with the solstice and the tone post solstice. I felt team Wildemount was way more comedy focused and the tone was more down time we have no mission so let’s fuck around. Team Issylra on the other hand I felt role played the seriousness of what happened really well, even the guests I felt were fantastic and matched the seriousness the main cast were giving them.
Team Wildemount I felt like they had no clear cut goals, so the players namely the guests had to create their own goals, so Deanna’s was repair her relationship with Chet and Frida’s was a relationship with FCG. Where as Prism’s was find out what happened during the solstice, Deni$e’s was find out a way to get home and back to her ex and Bor’Dor had a secret goal which was role played fantastically.
I felt the guests in the 2nd group were all about bringing out more in the main characters in Orym/Laudna/Ashton while the other guests were more focused on specific relationships rather then the main plot and story. I feel Imogen and Fearne were kind of just tag alongs in that group, Fearne had a threesome but I didn’t feel like she was an important component in the Deanna/Chet relationship.
I’m just kind of bummed we’re not going to get Aimee and Emily getting to play out what went down because I feel like they earned it and their characters earned it. Just be clear this isn’t me hating on team Wildemount I enjoyed their arc I just wish it was more serious and connected to the main plot instead it felt like a side story in a video game.
I genuinely think there is some fun discussion to be had with what happened last night but there is also some asinine takes. First off I saw someone say Laudna slowly tortured him and killed him, wrong it was only 2 combat rounds and he was dead so 12 seconds after he attacked.
2nd people saying they were completely in the wrong, you want to discuss the dark places they went and they’re mental health and how this effects them long term I’m with you. Bor’Dor attacked first and nearly killed one of them in prism.
3rd using Marisha crying and saying she doesn’t want to do this as proof they’re the bad guys is also dumb. Marisha clearly was talking about sending Laudna down this dark path and killing a guest character not that killing Bor’Dor was morally wrong and that they’re the bad guys.
There is nuance here but I feel some of you are trying to make both sides equal when at this point they’re not. The Ruby Vanguard have been the aggressors more often then not killing innocent people along the way, to equate that with Laudna killing a dude who nearly murdered her friends is laughable. Laudna and Orym are going down a darker path that doesn’t immediately make them equal with the other side.
Just going to say Fearne would never sisterzone imogen, just saying.
Man I disappeared from tumblr for a while and came back and Liam O’Brian Stan’s still have massive victim complexes. I’ve genuinely never seen a group of people complain and whine more, legitimately EVERYTHING is an attack on his characters and him.
Also love they still shit on other characters to lift his up somethings that’s been happening since early C2. In all honestly if Liam’s character can’t have a romantic relationship with you the tolerance level drops massively. Their love for Jester is completely dependent on if it’s romantic or not, if not she’s a selfish awful person, if it is a nuanced character who needs someone like Caleb.
This is like the 1st campaign where his character isn’t massively front and center and y’all can’t take it. Laura, Marisha and others get just a tad bit more to do and y’all cry. Caleb last campaign all the way up until the last episode could’ve fucked over all his friends and you guys were fine with it. Imogen having complex feelings about her mother and why she left, completely irredeemable and the fandom is making excuses for her, no it’s just a nuanced character.
Just to preface love Liam, Orym is my 2nd favorite character and Vax was my 1st but man tumblr makes it so much harder to like his characters.
