Hunting down vintage is so weird sometimes. Sometimes you think you must have found something valuable and so you rush to research only to discover it isn't worth even what you paid for it. For example, this lovely fan I thought was vintage is actually modern and worth exactly what I paid for it. $5.

Then you get your hands on a pile of jewelry that looks like there isn't a lot of anything worth anything in it only to discover that some of it actually is worth more than expected. It's a wild ride. 😆

Finally finished and in the shop!! This one is called 'Aurora' and I have a couple of sizes available now.

That's a wrap! Everything is sewed up tight on these bodices and tomorrow the grommets get put in. That will probably take all day. 😏. So, life happened and I did NOT get these done Friday as planned... Or Monday.... Or Tuesday... But today I am actually able to get back to work on these and I am stitching all the top stitching for the boning pockets. So, next is boning then grommets!!

Today I am busy cutting out bodice linings! Hopefully I can get them done today so I can sew them up next week. I already cut out the silk facings. I need to hurry and get them done and in the shop so they are available for your next event!!! ✂️ 🧵💪🏻

I made a Dundee Cake this last weekend. It was so amazing. I had heard about this traditional Scottish cake a few months ago but am only just now getting to it. It is bursting with delicious orange flavor and the perfect amount of sweetness. Yummmm. *Warning* It's hard to only have one piece and every recipe I looked at said it was authentic. 😜🤣
