person: why do you like mad max so much?

what i mean: there are no less than 14 women protagonists who all have agency and are narrators of their own stories and none of them exist as male wish fulfillment or as a side kick to a male character and they all have different personalities and purposes and their strengths and weaknesses are presented without making some statement about women being better or less than men but also they use their femininity in extremely powerful ways which demonstrates that women are different than men but no less valuable to the story and they are put on equal playing field with the men in the movie and are not sexualized or demeaned despite the fact that five of them are escaping sex slavery and the sexual violence against them is never shown and one of the messages of the movie is that even these women in positions of 'privilege' are still oppressed and are victims of male violence and entitlement which reminds me that another message of the movie is the destructive nature of toxic masculinity and even the good guys in the movie are not praised or unnecessarily affirmed by the women when they do good things but instead there is a sort of mutual trust and friendship built that is way more realistic and powerful and basically it passes every test associated with how women are treated in movies and also it's just a really damn good movie with amazing visuals and insane amounts of world building and beautiful cinematography and real messages about our world

Like I went to the venue today after she didnt invite anyone else in the bridal patry because it was "for family only" and I helped her plan (read: was the voice of reason for) all the decorations and the food menu and how the venue would be set up. I'm walking in the bridal procession with her brother because she thinks of me as her sister. And I know it's probably something dumb like "I felt pressure to ask her to be my MOH bc she asked me to be hers" and she'd like apologize and shit for it, but I'm not gonna tell her and cause her even more stress than shes already dealing with.

I just makes my heart hurt. Like if she had like told us, it'd be different maybe? But it was literally like "Okay, you two plan my party" and then someone else comes in and goes "wait that's my job as maid of honor" Like I don't mind doing the dirty work, the clean up, the planning, the calming down of the bride when she gets panicked, I'm literally already doing that and I have been since the fourth grade.

(The person I'm venting about apparently follows my main blog? so I'm here now to vent a bit) Okay, so my best friend in the entire world is getting married in January. Been friends with her since fourth age 9 and now we're 22. We've always been really really close. So, she asked 7 girls to be her bridesmaids, and when she told me about it she stressed that had she had her way she would've only asked three of us but everyone else would get offended so she just asked all of us. And she implied heavily that we were all of equal standing and never mentioned a maid/matron of honor. And now I find out she does have a maid of honor and she's all worried about how well the MOH will be able to plan her bachelorette party bc she feels like the MOH doesn't know her as well as she knows the MOH (best friend was MOH for her MOH if that makes sense?). The bridesmaids made a group to talk about planning it and I've already had to go the bride behind their backs twice about plans they were making because I KNEW she wouldn't like them. The bride vetoed both things and I had to go back in the group and be like, "Well I don't think that's a good idea" (two things were penises everywhere, and some random guy in cosplay bartending [why tf do you need a bartender for 7 people, ugh, for $350 too]) And it makes me sad to know that like I wasn't picked to be MOH? I know it's really fucking stupid and petty and her wedding and her choice, but it hurts to know that your best friend doesn't think of you as her best friend. Like I know her so well and what she's likes and dislikes and I know that's not the whole point of a MOH, but I'm doing every single one of the "duties" except the speech. And it just makes me feel angry and hurt and I'm all mopey about it and I know I shouldn't be and knowing I shouldn't get worked up about it makes it worse.

ughhhh idk why it drives me crazy like the only thing remotely impressive about all that is the color combo you can change the genes to what you want, you can change the breed to what you want, but you can’t change the colors to what you want. AND the color combo rarity is really only interesting if it’s a gen one with colors that work together (in the eye of the beholder), OR it’s absolutely the only dragon on site ever to have that combo it won’t help you sell your dragon, if ppl are looking for one of a kind color combos, they don’t care about one of a kind color/gene/breed combos

tl;dr: stop jacking up your prices because your dragon is the only one of their color/genes/breed
