everytime i see a take where someone thinks its ’mean’ that inej tells kaz ‘she will have him without armor or not at all’ i feel like i have to remind you that kaz brekker looked inej in the eyes and asked her if it was ‘fate that put her in the menagerie or just bad luck.’ that line from him alone gives inej permission to say literally anything she wants to kaz. but seriously, i’ve been seeing this discourse for literally over half a decade. if you want to reduce kaz and inej to ‘mean things they’ve said to each other’ kaz wins by a god damn landslide. 1. crow and dagger, my first for them that i got back in 2021 🥹 the crow is the crow design from the page breaks in the duology

2. ‘402’ which is the page number of the kanej window scene. yeahhhh that’s how serious i am

3. my favorite, designed by the incredibly talented molly (mcstudios) - a kanej tarot card ft. kaz’s cane, inej’s daggers, six crow feathers in the back, hand holding, and the iconic without armor :)

i have many more grishaverse tattoos but this is how i forever carry kanej with me 🐦‍⬛

kanej has truly had such a stranglehold on me since the day i read the duology in 2020, it’s insane. i keep thinking ‘oh one day i’ll move on and stop feeling so strongly toward them’ but i genuinely feel just as enamored and utterly obsessed with their relationship now as i did when i was falling in love with the grishaverse six years ago. i’ve got three tattoos for them on my body and they be living rent free in my mind every single day

been out of the loop for a few weeks because life got busy & i come back to see that phrases referencing the age of the crows have been changed in the new dregs edition of six of crows

the crows explicitly being teenagers 16-18 years old is sooo pivotal to the series and their stories and i’m not sure why ten years later leigh feels the need to suddenly make their ages vague

don’t have the time and space to come up with a more coherent thought other than it feels very inauthentic and odd and the fact that it was revised quietly and never addressed? don’t love that
