I was just wondering if you could clarify why he/she aren't male/female pronouns respectively? Thanks for all the good work you're doing

No problem! He/she are not male/female pronouns respectively because there are some people who are not male who use “he” pronouns, and some people who are not female who use “she” pronouns. For example, someone who is non-binary may prefer the pronouns he/him/his, but it does not make them male. Referring to their pronouns as “male” pronouns implies that they are male and that anyone else who uses he/him/his must also be male. This is incorrect.

Also, there are some people who are female who don’t use “she” pronouns, and some people who are male who don’t use “he” pronouns. Some male and female people prefer to use gender neutral pronouns, and this does not make them any less male or female.
