Before I start, I wanna say if you work out who this person is, do not send them hate. I would love to see them destroyed, but I’m supposed to me be a good version, however-
Everyone has a little something that makes them irrationally angry even if that thing, isn’t really a big deal in the grand scope of things. For me, that’s art thieves and liers. And for me, the worst art thieves are those who steal characters. Not just straight up (although that is despicable), but when someone practically copies a character’s design and backstory and pretends it’s their own creation.
And that is exactly what I woke up to this morning.
At first, I was like ‘that’s a little rude, comparing Cruor to the Edgar, almost sounds like they’re accusing me of copying them’, but I got curious, so I looked through the persons- let called them… [E].
So I look through [E]’s blog and I came across this Edgar character, and I begin shaking with anger
(I wasn’t going to show their artwork, but for reasons I’ll show later, it’s become unavoidable)
There was no doubt in my mind that this was a copy. This was the first image I saw, and it got worse from there.
[E] has a comic, with a backstory written below it, explaining Edgar was married and then cheated on his wife while she was pregnant. Which, for anyone who knows, it Cruor’s backstory. I started comparing dates, and they created Edgar on Jul 12th, 2018. The @babyhatsus blog was created in September 2017, and Cruor whole ‘I-have-a-bastard-child’ thing was stated in the character section of the blog from when it was created. And even the post that has clearly said Cruor cheated on his wife was done July 1st 2018.
Even the girls that Edgar cheated on- shown in [E]’s backstory comic- look very similar to Charity and Rose.
(note, some artwork used is @theinsanefruitloop-chan ‘s because although i designed the characters and made their backstories, they drew they waay more than I did as part of their AU, as that’s what these characters were designed for)
You could say its continuance right? Or I should give them the benefit of the doubt right? I was thinking the same thing until i saw this-
And the most damming piece of evidence of course
So, [E], I know your reading this. If you don’t take your character down, redesign them and strip out everything that is Cruor from them then I will drag your name through the mud.
This means-
-The horns
-The outfit
-The backstory
-ANY traced art, of mine, or anyone else.
ALL these things MUST go. I am even willing to help you if you need advice. And trust me, you will be a better artist and writer when you do something original, even within fandoms. If you just steal, you’ll never be anything.
TLDR;; Someone stole my character Cruor and they need to take them down or else.
