this scene is like so interesting cos at this point does he actually know it's gu cheon causing all this craziness, or does he think it's the crown prince back again and disturbing the ceremony?

Like it's interesting if he does know it's gu cheon, but also turning gu cheon into an evil spirit at this point doesn't have any benefits for him as the king, so I'm leaning towards him having zero clue that he's actually talking to gu cheon in this moment

well you see my friend we live in sad times where people can't comprehend media literacy and genres and plot and just want instant gratification which is why slop is being sold in the name of romance to the brain rotted masses.

but you're so right. firstly this is a period drama, and a period drama that was never meant to be a horny romantic period drama, and it's not a romantic drama to begin with it's like 99% spirits palace drama and action, so the romance was always going to be a lingering, slightness to the plot. and i never even expected ANYTHING to begin with but they still gave us so much? that last episode was more romantic to me than an entire bed scene could ever be. also like, gucheon and the princess are deeply traumatized and closed off characters to begin with so any romance would be quiet.

anyway that scene where she touches his hand to share her "energy" and that scene where he holds a candle to see her face better cause his eyes aren't working are two of the most romantic scenes of the year. sorry if people have no taste.
