Goncharov (1973) dir. Martin Scorsese
āThe greatest mafia movie (n)ever made.ā
Neither a mass craze nor mass hysteria but a secret third thing (mass construed Scorsese film)
world's first film made entirely by mental torrenting through a spiritual network of people voluntarily undergoing mass hysteria
how am i supposed to use any other social media site. which other site has a userbase so commited to the bit that a nonexistent movie can trend at no1

Iāve finally managed to make a vine compilation short enough that Tumblr will let me post it!
I thought it wasnāt possible to crack an egg in your palm like that how to fuck did he
This is a good one 12/10
this is legit my favorite vine compilation ever, iām crying
This is probably the only vine compilation where I liked every single vine represented.
I needed this so much today
have you ever noticed you pick up little habits and phrases from the people you love? itās no wonder our hearts are so easily broken when people leave. we become a reflection of the people that we care about and those personality traits stick with us even if the people donāt
hey! iām kicking off the #ADHDInvasion hashtag for adhd awareness month with a comic about CONSEQUENCES, and how my lifelong failure to react to them has been a huge source of frustration for me and for the ppl in my life who rely on me. even worse, it makes me seem apathetic or careless to others, when in reality it weighs really heavily on me - i just struggle to show it.
the best way iāve found to deal with this is accepting that shame-based motivation DOES NOT WORK AT ALL for me (which is hard to do, when itās all thatās been modeled for you by parents/educators/bosses) and try to replace fear/shame based consequences with positive outcomes: i.e. instead ofĀ āeveryone will be so disappointed in me if i donāt do this,ā sometimes itās more helpful to thinkĀ āif i do this on time, iāll feel so relieved, and everyone will be happy that i pulled through.ā
check out the roster here and make sure you donāt miss the comics from all the other artists participating!
i made a 2-part uquiz calledĀ Which Shakespeare character are you? and it has 50 possible results.Ā Ā The first quiz puts you into one of 5 groups and links you to the group quiz that has 10 different characters each. Tag your results. :)
the funniest part of this is seeing people in the tags who want to get hamlet and get something from a play theyāve never read and theyāre like UMM IM EMO??? i HAVE to be HAMLET idk who Edmund even is and Iām like⦠sweetieā¦. youāre Edmundā¦.
Hey remember when US and Russia was all like āWeāre the best!!! Weāve won the space race!!!!ā But India sent a kick-ass space probe to Mars and the whole mission was fuel efficient, costed less and a roaring success in the first try and then they were like āā¦..wait no that canāt be trueā and still have the audacity to call us āunderdevelopedā or only view us as a āthird world countryā? :)
For anyone who needs more info, the probe was called Mangalyaan (which literally means space probe vehicle) or Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) and you can also get more information here and here
Remember when NYT mocked India for this very thing and an TOI (a major indian newspaper) responded with this? :)
They were being racist asf and we were till respectful literally fuck you if you think āthird world countiesā canāt be better than you
white people can and should reblog this
and shout out to the women engineers integral to the launch
āIndian staff from the Indian Space Research Organisation celebrate after the Mars Orbiter Spacecraft entered Marsās orbit.
On November 5, 2013, a rocket launched toward Mars. It was Indiaās first interplanetary mission, Mangalyaan, and a terrific gamble. Only 40 percent of missions sent to Mars by major space organizationsāNASA, Russiaās, Japanās, or Chinaāsāhad ever been a success. No space organization had succeeded on its first attempt. Whatās more, Indiaās space organization, ISRO, had very little funding: while NASAās Mars probe, Maven, cost $651 million, the budget for this mission was $74 million.Ā
This was not the only success of the mission. An image of the scientists celebrating in the mission control room went viral. Girls in India and beyond gained new heroes: the kind that wear sarees and tie flowers in their hair, and send rockets into space.ā
x
thereās a movie adaptation of this! itās obviously more dramatized/they use different names but i really really loved the movie! itās called mission mangal and it was the first time i had heard of this and i was so surprised that literally? no one talked about it??? what they accomplished is incredible.
ALSO, Mangalyaan launched in 2013 and was meant to be a 6 month mission. Itās been in orbit around Mars now for more than 5 years and has enough propellant to keep going for even longer.
āThe kind that wear sarees and tie flowers in their hair, and send rockets into space.ā
FUCK YES. THIS IS THE TYPE OF REPRESENTATION IāVE BEEN HERE FOR!!
I love how the dudes at back are pure happy!!
