It was nice! Thank you! I took the kids to a river nearby and let them splash around for a bit. (With SPF and hot dogs of course!)

how are you and herbert doing as newly engaged
Well. It's a rocky start. We had an argument the other day, but we talked it out and it all got sorted. More open communication is needed.
The kids are also dealing okay with the change. All in all, I love him. I wouldn't change the life I have for the world.

I guess this is from the fourth of July. Well, it went good. The kids all passed out on top of each other in the back of the car. Herbert and I listened to some soft music, a mixtape of his own that he could tolerate. And we made some nice small talk.
