There's a mysterious area in the Prison of Regrets that isn't shown in the game. But even after exploring this place, it's unclear what it was meant for.

Elven architecture is featured here, although of the entire pantheon, only statues of Mythal are found. Perhaps this place refers specifically to her. A temple?

It's also the only sunny area on this map.

No interactions, but if you move Rook here, you can take a walk. The future version of Dex, made by @khaleesinz, helped me with this.

Usually when location is created for the background, you fall into the void. So I think this area was intended for something.

Ok so…

Y’all know how Felassan survived up until the present age? And we now know that ancient elves lose their hair over time. So… was Felassan bald when Solas killed him?

this topic is always hilarious 🤣 But I will actually debate is seriously yet again lol. There were drawings of him in illustrated Masked Empire edition that clearly show him with hair. and these drawings inspired fandom to start drawing him this way for years.

But what's interesting is that people assume he is described like that in the book. He's not. in the actual book, the text itself, his hair was literally never mentioned. All other parts of him are described multiple times, his outfit, bare feet, his face and eyes, skin, his tattoos, his cloak and hood he always wears up. but the hair is never mentioned. Not even once. So we just don't know. And the artists that painted this don't work for Bioware directly and illustrations are often added later. so technically, he could've been bald in Masked Empire under the hood if you didn't see these illustrations. it's not clear if illustrators took creative liberty with Felassan's look or if they were given cues by Bioware to draw him like this. But judging by the fact he looks very similar in Veilguard I'm guessing it was actually Bioware's choice on purpose.

Maybe they just came up with the balding lore decision later 🤣 I mean Masked Empire came out 12 yrs ago.

So they weren't really consistent with those rules with balding than. Or maybe Felassan took his mortal body few thousands years later than Solas and is much younger despite being from ancient Arlathan and that difference is enough to account why he hasn't gone bald... yet...

Either way imagining Felassan bald in Masked Empire makes me cackle.

p.s. here's me still refusing to believe Felassan is truly dead. he is somewhere tranquil/and cured, and I'll die on that hill (delulu headcanon)

The Titans being the silent tragic villain of Thedas is the coolest thing about dragon age tbh. This entire time, this creature driven to insanity has been orchestrating the continued defilement of the world simply because it longs to be whole again. To create again. It created the darkspawn - something from nothing - in spite of its oppressors stealing its dreams. The Blight, to quote Flemeth, claws and crawls its way through the ages: the Titans' cries longing to be perceived by someone, anyone. It uses any outlet it can get its hands on - the Stone, any living thing, its own oppressors, the archdemons - and corrupts them into vessels through which it can whisper, luring people to join in its madness.

And I can't help but quote the Chant of Light - come to me, child, and I shall embrace you - because that was the promise of the Titans once, and it continues to be that promise, now twisted, through the Blight.
