     Now, part of him wonders what that merc gets off on blabbing his mouth about things the myrmidon likes ( but then again Jesse had a big mouth, didn’t he? ). Part of him can’t exactly complain, however, considering it is something he likes. There’s a gruff noise that leaves him, lips pursing in a line before he hesitantly holds his hand out to take the sweet bread offered to him. And if one looks hard enough, a small twitch of his lip’ll be seen, raising a smile on his usually scowling face.

     “Kind of you to ask,” Deen mumbles as dark eye glances away for a moment, “So, yeah, I’ll take it.”

“Besides, you’ve no business sleeping atop a crate like a lout. Better me than one of Grieth’s muscleheads waking you up, hmm?”

     Boredom. That was it? That’s why she woke him? A groan escapes him, gloved hand lifting up to press over his face, letting index finger and thumb squeeze around his eyes. This woman... she was certainly a handful but she’s got herself a point with those last few words. He’d rather her wake him than one of those other brutes.

     “Mm,” He’s still waking up, blinking his single eye at the woman before he lets out a yawn, “I was tired, alright? Get off my back,” A small grumble before he’s reaching a hand up ( silent question for her to help him to his feet ) and shifting his legs to let his boots press flat on the ground.

     “Besides, what’d you do with my company anyways. I ain’t the liveliest to be around, you know.”
