the male had thought this question over a million times in his head before, just how and why it came so easy to them. the truth is, he wasnât quite sure himself. to figure out the truth, heâd have to ask them, and glenn was nowhere near the investigator as the other believed him to be. he had picked up things from here and there, but the past was the past and the male would like to keep it that way. this was the new world, they had to ADAPT to survive, whether he two were ready for that was UNSURE. though, they had both taken that first step, if it became easier or not was a MYSTERY.
â rick used to be a cop, rosita and abraham were in the military. it was their JOB to protect their people, iâd like to think the others have all gained that complex too. weâve been through a lot, done a lot of things weâre not proud of. to themâitâs this or die. theyâre fighting for something bigger than themselves; their family. thatâs got to be worth something. â
this us or them mentality wasnât NEW for Heath. when Rickâs group had first got here there was a huge division between Alexandria and them, and Heath had his own separations between the two groups. of course, it didnât go as far as KILLING for his people. he never knew that was inside him...the capability to end a life. he wasnât sure he liked holding someone in the BALANCE like that. but then, he wasnât sure it was supposed to be liked. âit just...itâs crazy you know. it seems like the natural order of things, someone fucks up, someone steps on your shit, they die. I mustâve been ASLEEP while the world changed the rules. it didnât even feel real at first, keep thinkinâ it was a nightmare. that we didnât---kill people. been tryinâ to rationalize it, we saw those pictures. those werenât RIGHT people. they were fucked up, man. and I KNOW if we had talked to them, we wouldâve been the ones dead, and they wouldnât lose ANY sleep over it. sick shit...this fuckinâ world.â
