a dark day... the onion went off
I genuinely mean this, I hope all 5 of those Supreme Court members who voted Yes have to live their lives getting harassed and are extremely bothered till their last dying breath.
Bother them, make their lives miserable, make them not want to leave their homes.
"Women have a right to their bodies!
Keep Roe V. Wade"
Seen in the San Francisco State University campus.
Racism did not begin when the media headlined it and it doesn't end when the media stops and the hash tags cease to trend. Racism has always been here and it will continue to seep through society. Racism can come from anywhere and be any action. Pay attention. It is not a trend. It is pure hate and ugly bias.
hey folks! this link will take you to a database of asian therapists listed by us state and this brings you to a list of asian-canadian therapists. this website also has many other mental health resources for asian-americans and asian-canadians, which i highly encourage you to check out. right now is a scary time, and we all need to be taking care of ourselves. sending love and support to all my asian friends and followers 💕💕
There are no good asian stereotypes
Asians being seen "submissive, quiet, agreeable, and exotic" got 8 people killed in Atlanta.
These "good stereotyping" of an entire culture, that exists because of the American need to propagate dominion over asian countries. It was to make the asian people seem weak- less of a threat to American.
These "good" stereotypes makes us into fetishes. It calls for white men to fantasize about sexually dominating us because all we are seen as is quiet and agreeable.
Stop telling us there are good stereotypes when it got people that look like me killed
i haven’t seen any posts regarding the outcry that’s happening in the UK right now so: the murder of sarah everard, who went missing in london last week and whose body was found a few days ago and the publication of a survey which found that 97% of women in the UK have experienced sexual harassment has caused public uproar about misogyny and violence against women. sarah, who went missing as she walked home from a friend’s house, did everything women are “supposed to” as she walked home in the dark: wear bright clothing, stick to main roads, walk under bright street lights. the last image of her alive is from CCTV footage taken about 30 mins walking distance from her home, in which she can be seen talking to her boyfriend on the phone. the man who’s been charged with her murder is a cop. and not just any cop, a diplomatic protection officer, which means he’s one of around 5% of cops in the UK that carries a gun, although he was allegedly off duty at the time. we don’t know how sarah was murdered yet, but her body, which was found dumped in woodland miles from her home, took a few days to properly identify for a yet unknown reason. (edit: she was identified by dental records, meaning she was no longer recognisable enough to be identified by a family member) FIVE independent investigations have been opened in connection to the cop’s arrest. the uk gov is going to debate making misogyny a hate crime. violence against women isn’t new, but the level of outrage this time is significant. women have had enough.
I’d like to add to this that last night across the country (though especially in London) women and their allies gathered in a candlelight vigil to mourn Sarah and similar victims of femicide and misogyny.
The police decided that the appropriate response to these peaceful candlelight vigils would be to send hundreds of policeMEN in riot gear to restrain and arrest mourners. Women mourning their own lost to a policeman’s act of femicide was responded to with more policemen restricting these women’s ability to exist freely on the streets at night. Genuinely the most tone-deaf I’ve seen from this country in a long time, and that’s coming after we were instructed to ‘clap for the nhs’ rather than giving them the pay rise they deserve.
This comes on top of a new proposed bill which would give the police the right to break up any peaceful protest that they see as causing ‘significant annoyance or disruption’. This IS an infringement upon the human right to protest, and it IS a blatant step towards fascism. Misogyny is a massive issue in the uk, and in this instance it serves to highlight the terrifying reality of the rise of fascism around the world. If you’re in the uk, contact your local mp and sign as many petitions as you come across regarding this bill! If it were to be passed, it would be disastrous for human rights in Great Britain, and would set up the tories perfectly to maintain power indefinitely. Speak up for Sarah Everard, and speak up for your right to protest!!
Fucking bullshit. Absolute fucking bullshit. Fuck them. Fuck the patriarchy.
There is no hope. That’s how it feels to be a woman. There is no fucking hope. We aren’t safe anywhere. Not in your house, not in the street, not at schools, workplaces, gymns, parks, forest, and the list goes on. Say anywhere and a woman was killed there by a man for what? For being a woman. And it’s so terrible because you see this kind of news everywhere. I live in a country at the other side of the world, and the news are exactly the same here. Men killing women in complete impunity, warded by the state, meanwhile the oligarchy, the police, politicians, all of then protect their interests with the systematic represion of the people who aren’t represented anymore, denying the basic right of protest with violence of all kinds.
We women are second class citizens no matter the country.
you quiz on the block x bts teaser
This is worse. Looking at these you can tell they have no significant monetary value. They were confiscated as a fear tactic. Nothing more.
This picture breaks my heart everytime it appears in my dash. It’s a fear tactic, alright but—
The first one in the left corner: It’s a first communion rosary, and it’s not cheap.
The black one in the first line: That’s a widow rosary and it’s old.
The white one in the second line: is a commemoration rosary. It has a miniature picture in the round part. I haven’t seen that since the 70′s.
In the third line, multicolor one: It’s an Anima mundi, I have only seen those in the hands of Rosary ministery’s old ladies. The oldest ones are from the 80′s after Juan Pablo II came to Mexico for the first time. It’s one of the old ones, I know because the crucifixes are different. The third one on the fourth line: Red and gold. The style is old, the metal is dark, that’s a 50′s rosary, probably a quinceañera one (or it’s maybe older, from the 40′s when the brides carried red roses with their offerings).
The fifth one on the fourth line: It’s a quinceañera rosary with Ignatius’s tear. The style is old and in my part of Mexico is orphan girls who used it. At least it was when I was young. The third one of the fifth line: the blue one with the anchor. That one I have only seen in Veracruz and it doesn’t look new. The fifth one on the fifth line: That’s a 90′s wedding rosary. Black and white patterns were popular on that date. The fourth one on the last line: That’s a first communion rosary from the 30′s. It’s delicate and most probably silver. The rest wrench my heart too, the humble everyday rosaries with wooden beads and knots. Those are cheap and bear the wear and tear of their user handling. But those I described are much more.
Those are mother’s rosaries.
Those are not just rosaries. Those are mementos, that’s the proof of their families stories. They are taking from them the only portable things they can carry to feel the connection to their families. It’s not a fear tactic. Call it like by its name. It’s dehumanization.

If you disagree with my basic human rights or the rights of anyone else then we cannot be friends. This is not politics it is my right to live.
No one was charged for the murder of Breonna Taylor.
One ex-officer (who did NOT shoot Breonna Taylor) was indicted for wanton endangerment* of the life of the persons living next door after shots were blindly fired into their apartment.
(*wanton endangerment is a class D felony, the same as shoplifting or stealing mail…)
Breonna Taylor is NOT listed as a victim in the indictment.
There have been no charges made for the death of Breonna Taylor.
There is not, and will not be justice for Breonna Taylor
#NOJUSTICENOPEACE

NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE (9/23/20): Breonna Taylor’s life mattered. There is no justice to be found under this neocolonial system. We must bring it to its knees.
