Arm Lizard arriving at the Water Hole:

A scene from the deserts of the Morrison Formation featuring two Apatosaurus, a Diplodocus, a Stegosaurus and a flock of Camptosaurus and Dryosaurus drinking from a large water hole which lies near the dunes and soon giving way to the arrival of a thirsty lone male Brachiosaurus altithorax, one of the largest, heaviest and rarest sauropod dinosaurs of the area, as a trio of Harpactognathus fly overhead. This illustration is also inspired by some of the BBC nature documentaries I once used to watch as a kid.

The Paleo Party Guest of the day is the living fossil, the Frilled Shark!

These odd sharks are a remnant of a family that dates back to the Carboniferous period. Fossilized teeth of Chlamydoselachus africana (one of the two extant species of Frilled shark) date back to the early Pleistocene!
