Safie 28 years old, Pace University - Forensic Science Student
Key Findings:
The Dreamcatcher logo was very intriguing and embodied the app's functions and purpose.
In the Me section Safie associated the followers tab with the idea of weaving threads which strongly ties into the concept of dreamcatchers and following dreams.
The layout was clear and easy to navigate through the screens
Hyejin Yang, 28 Fashion Student
Key Findings
Hyejin took her time to throughly navigate through the app and accomplish the task. She said the layout and design was "familiar" which helped her navigate and browse easily.
The Dictionary reminded her of her own English dictionary, which made it easy to understand the dream interpretation.
Because of the search bar always appearing on the top of the screen, she proposed in a hypothetical situation of entering a journal entry, then suddenly wanting to search...The app should have a saved drafts option so users won't loose their entries, if navigating onto other pages.

Feedback Analysis - Christina .
Safie, 28 / Pace - Forensic Sci Student She strongly prefers to have the journal screen appear first. The "add journal" icon was not visible to her (located at the top right.) It did not stand out too much and forgot the purpose of the app. She said if someone just woken up from a dream, the user would want to access "add an entry" immediately. She would like the "discover" on the second menu since it is a secondary element but still helpful to read other people's dream and make connections.
For the "search," she appreciated the little building icon (to represent community) to have the function to view similar dreams with other users. That would enhance the meaning of discover and exploration.
Hyejin, 28 / Fashion Student She admired the options and curiosities of the app and she just wanted to see if all the functions work. The layout and clear for her, but hesitant when "adding a journal entry." She understood the tap menu but wasn't sure where was the icon. She also suggested to have something visible for the journal or appear first as the screen.
She like the idea of submitting dream stories as long as they're anonymous. She was fascinated and didn't know about "teeth falling out" meaning when I read her the task. When you look it up, she liked the "related searches" to teeth and it was definitely something she expected.
Shane, 22 / D+T Student (with focus in interaction) He prefers one search bar in the entire app, he felt that was too redundant and prefers to have one location . He also feels there was too much going on with the app (having a journal, dictionary as well as a forum.)
Based on his Design for Usability class, he would like to see a more simplified app without the forum (or somehow a super organized social network.) But highly suggests a greater focus on the dictionary with a personal journal instead. He strongly likes the "Related Searches" since everyone will have a particular dream symbol but it could be represented differently. Forums where people communicate can get complicated with categories especially dreams are so subjective.
He does not care about other people's dream or helping them decipher. He would like to use it just to get a sense of idea what his dream means and play it in his mind when using the dictionary.
Conclusion The designs of the app were successful, organized and clean. However, it is the order of appearance is the problem. The "journal screen" will now be first, "discover" will now appear second for a better understanding of the app. It was the only main confusion for the users and the overwhelming of newsfeed and definitions.
Overall, users liked the idea of knowing a deeper meaning behind their symbols in the dreams or simple for novelty to share with friends. And indeed, provoked curiosity!
Adriana Tejera: Marketing Student
All around really liked the app especially because she likes to write down her dreams. She suggested as an option to be able to upload a link to a song along with a dream entry. Enjoyed the style of the light blue color for the app reminded her of dreaming.
