Frogsong and Cacklingcall NEW DESIGNS!!

Here they areeeeeee! They look so much better than their last designs in my opinion! I made Frog much softer and rounded while still keeping a spunky attitude. I also adapted her bow tie to lilypads + a lily flower! Cackle on the contrary was made fluffier/spikier. He’s more bright yellow with smaller spots that will trail down his lower back (I will create references for all the characters at some point)

Here’s her without her accessory lilypads so you get the full scope of her pelt!

I couldn’t decide whether to go with the “pretty and slanted eyes” or “cute half circle eyes” but they’re pretty much interchangeable and you can go with whichever you like more! I myself will use either one depending on the mood of the scene.

Here’s a height visual for Frog and Cackle. As you can see, Cackle is a big boye hehe. Whenever it gets cold, Frogsong uses his shed fur for her nest <3

currently redesigning Frogsong and Cacklingcall (ESPECIALLY Frog) since I’m really not satisfied with how they ended up. With episode 9 giving them more characterization to work with, I’m going to update their designs along with their lore.

How does manager Gangle work in this au?

Part 2 C:

During the chapter/episode that TADC would be in Spudsy’s, the DreamClan equivalent is Skullstar giving Tangledstripe leader status for the day while he went off and did whatever he does by himself. Tangledstripe became Tangledstar, and she would try to emulate what she thought a leader should be. Of course, Hareheart was not happy with this decision and challenged her authority multiple times. He was punished by being put on dirtplace cleaning duty…

Tangledstar would go back to Tangledstripe at the end of the day, having realized that she was not fit to be a leader.

Does tangled stripe have a comedy mask/ tragedy mask thing like gangle?

She does! Albeit, it’s more literal with how her ears are the stand in for her mask. When she’s default/happy/not being bullied, her ears are up and she is “:3” incarnate. When Hareheart is within a 50 yard radius of her, the ears fold back. Of course, like with Gangle’s tragedy/comedy masks, Tangle can experience happiness with her ears back and be upset with her ears pointed up. It’s just a good indicator of her mood to look at the ears.

One day I will make these actual super editions centered around the 5’s pivotal backstories and their arcs before Motleypatch was trapped in the dream world. Might also edit in the future giving a few touch ups here and there.

I’d like to make more super edition covers, but right now I need sleep 😴

MORE CHONK

Recently did a lineart of Brightridge, one of the OG DreamClan cats. I noticed that I didn’t give his first design enough girth, so I’m fixing it by girthifying him ✨

Brightridge was the deputy of a clan before being thrown into the dream world. He looks big and scary, but underneath his tough exterior, he’s very sensitive. He’s the kind of cat to have a resting death glare, but will cry if he kills a bird and finds out it had a nest with eggs.

He’s also the kind of cat that comes off as dumb, but he’s really not. Just because he’s big, fat, and quiet doesn’t mean he’s stupid. He’s no super genius, but he understands most things. Before Bubble usurped his position as deputy, Brightridge was a responsible, attentive deputy that made sure his clan was at its very best. He still did his best to be a warrior other cats could turn to and trust after being usurped. He obeyed Bubble and begrudgingly respected him, but he never liked him or his authority.

In Lionmane’s super edition, Lionmane’s Vision, Brightridge is a more prominent character, but in the main story arc, he’s only mentioned once.

Thriftclaw headshot, CW: light depiction of gore

Just a simple headshot of the non-binary pal getting absolutely shredded 💀 Made 2 versions. First is unfiltered, and the second is given an unsharp mask for crisper lines.

Thrift was probably messed up from a corrupted cat while they were still new to the dream world. Tangledstripe probably found them on the brink of death and brought them back to camp in order for Lionmane to treat them. Since then, they would come and go as they please, not quite a clancat, but not a loner either.

Jax and Pomni ep 6* fight redrawn as DreamClan

I made 2 versions of these, one is the one on top and the original without an added effect, and the one on the bottom is given an unsharp mask effect!

Side by side comparison. I took some creative liberties by having the fight between Hareheart and Motleypatch be more brutal. Obviously, Motley was a lot more rough towards Hare, but she didn’t walk away unscathed. The plot of episode/chapter 6* is slightly different, but the cause of their fighting is pretty much the same.

One new cat and a familiar redesign

I haven’t posted about Appledawn yet, but Pondslip was one of the first designs I posted in this blog. I honestly really did not like his first design and decided to do a redesign in the future! This one isn’t as quirky as the old one, but otherwise an improvement in my opinion!

Appledawn is a catified version of my OC, ADAM, who was only present in the earlier days of the circus, and disappeared after Scratch’s abstraction. In this AU, Appledawn was the first trapped cat in the dream world. He also stayed in DreamClan for a bit, but left after Hound’s corruption and eventually founded OriginClan. Considering OriginClan’s values and lack of faith in StarClan, he doesn’t adapt the name of a leader nor does he enforce the Warrior Code. Of course, like all of the OCs, his presence is ignorable.

Hi! Jus curious, are we ever going to see the dreamclancats equivalent of the Mildenhall manor characters? Or Disappearing guy I'd love to see him as a cat

Currently working on Mildenhall’s characters! The storyline for this adventure will be changed a little bit to better encompass the warrior cats side of the AU. Disappearing guy might also make an appearance later on, but I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to make him fit into the dream world.

The First Cats of DreamClan + a catified oc WIP

Happy Easter! I’d love to share some more designs, this time of the first prisoners of the dream world! I think Wormslink is my favorite of the bunch, with Hounddusk coming in right after. I also like how Brightridge came out. Fuzzybelly was definitely a challenge since there’s so many contrasting colors to work with, along with the extra challenge of trying to make distinct silhouettes. The first cat to corrupt was Hounddusk, after an incident where young Skullstar’s well intentioned powers spun out of control. Skullstar was somewhat shaken by what happened, and had since refused to reattempt what he tried doing initially. Despite looking like an actual puppy, Hounddusk was a very responsible leader who tried to teach Skull the best way he could with such a limited memory. In a way, he did teach Skull a valuable lesson: know your limits.

Please forgive my questionable sketch work— I have a million references on the side that do the heavy lifting LOL. Aside from Lalo/Pondslip, I have another TADC OC that I’ve rarely used since their creation due to the canon show’s lore about C&A being shaky still. He only exists plot wise during the “early days” of the digital circus before Scratch abstracted, and disappeared right after that inciting incident, so they’ve never interacted with the modern cast (at least, not to their knowledge). In my TADrCl AU, this character also exists non canonly as a cat, but I will go into his lore later when I finish his model! <3
