Thoughts..
I wouldn’t trade anything I have. Ever. The life I live. The friends I have. My other half. My unemployed ass. The money I have in my wallet. The shoes stacked in my room or all the clothes in my closet. I wouldn’t want anymore or less. Even money. Everything is perfect the way it is set up. And that’s the beauty of life, if you choose to look at it like that. I used to want more of this, less of that. I had all these needs and wants which were unnecessary, because honestly, I have anything I’ve ever needed to live a great life. And yeah, I would say my life is great. Some people say I have it easy or I’m too relaxed about things. Trust me, I never had it easy, and everything in my room was bought by me. My parents don’t give me an allowance or randomly buy me things because we don’t have extra money to just throw around. All I need in my life to be happy is to surround myself with people that care about and love me. I just want people who won’t hate my wild, loud crazy side. That’s just me. Accept it, if not, then it doesn’t bother me. I just want to go to the park and play tag. I want late nights, just walking around town two people deep or ten. It doesn’t matter to me. It’s not about the quantity, it’s the quality of friends I’m surrounded by. And the quality of the time we’re spending. These past two nights, I was out til 3-4am doing my usual late night activities. We played cards and laughed amongst ourselves as we joked around. We went to the park and did stupid things that luckily never get us in trouble or injured. I do what I want to do and I’m glad these wonderful friends of mine are here to do them with me. This is all I ever needed. I feel like the wealthiest person in the world and why wouldn’t I? I’m surrounded by all my best friends, my second family. They accept me, they care about my well being, and I’m loved. Which is the best feeling in the world. And instead of making tons of money, I’m out here making memories and filling out stories to tell when I’m an old soul. At the end of the day, when we all pass away, all the hours we spent working won’t matter. All the money we saved up will go to waste. That nice car we drive won’t go to heaven with us. But what you do take with you is your soul and everything that comes with it. The bits and pieces of other people’s soul you collect, the ones that you truly care about. You take along all the experiences you experienced, all the mistakes that turned into stories and great nights that turned into better nights. You take all memories you made. And that’s what matters. Did you make enough memories with the people that mattered? Did you get to see who you really wanted to? Don’t ever wish you could’ve showed your parents you cares more often. Or that you could’ve spent more time with significant other or seen your best friend more often? Don’t ever be too lazy or too tired to go out. Who cares if you have work in the morning. Go out with your friends and have fun. Sleep for 2-3 hours. You’ll be fine. You can always sleep after work, after all, we’re young souls with lots of energy.
We’re not supposed to be sleeping off our youth. It’s just sad how I see so many people in this generation place their values on the wrong things. I want to have fun, I want to say I had a great time when I was a teenager. I see so many of friends stressed out with work and they burn out weekly. Or the ones that overloaded themselves with school and do absolutely nothing else. Life shouldn’t be a template. Just do whatever makes you happy. Do what you enjoy, because it’s your life. Who cares what other people think. If you love staying home to read novels then do that. my sister had a bookworm phase and she loved every moment of it. Disappearing from this world to join Harry Potter on his adventures. If you want to party? Then go do it! Drink up and enjoy all the nights you won’t remember! This post it way too long and no one probably read this far, so I’ll end it here. And as for closing comments, do you. It’s your life and path to pave. Do what you want to do. Do what makes you happy. Surround yourself with real friends and people that love you. Make all the mistakes you can and keep making precious, priceless memories. You can be happy with very little, trust me. - See more at: http://erickavillongco.com/#sthash.T5vzWMpA.dpuf
