Peter Ferguson’s “Lifeboats of the Sinking Witch” at Roq La Rue.

Opening this Thursday, May 5th (Tonight) at Roq La Rue Gallery in Seattle, Washington is artist Peter Ferguson’s solo exhibition “Lifeboats of the Sinking Witch.”

Ferguson’s dreamy, dark paintings narrate inklings of something one might find scanning over a forgotten history text on a village deeply soaked in folklore.  A hundred stories per painting, the tales told through Peter’s brushstrokes never go too far beyond the horizon of the fantastic, keeping a giant’s foot in reality and thus compel any viewer’s imagination to spark easily with wonder.

“Lifeboats of the Sinking Witch” will be on display until May 28th.
