This looks very interesting. Novelist Scott Heim’s e-book series “The First Time I Heard” follows a simple concept: ask musicians to expound on their first experiences with their own formative bands. Notable musicians and writers telling their stories of first hearing the music of Smiths, Kate Bush, Bowie, Joy Division, & Cocteau Twins. There are essays in these by members of Lush, Slowdive, Pale Saints and lots more.
