no one actually knows who came first, the 'dream' or the aeons. what is accepted, however, is that the persona of the dream was not established until after the aeons 'encountered' THEM, especially as eirlys seems to be an amalgamation of their 'desires'

for example, to name but a few, THEIR waking body was birthed by a tree of abundance: THEIR physical form cannot truly die and will simply sprout anew. like remembrance, THEY enter the minds and dreams of all at will and without permission. THEY are an empath and seek the happiness of all, just as harmony, however elation bleeds through in THEIR bright and jovial personality. on the other-hand, morrigan, the darker personality and crueler streak, resonates with the paths of voracity and hunt

h*sr: it is said that once the aeons dreamt and from that came the dream. whilst THEY are not an aeon, and have no desire to be, the fact remains that THEY, an ancient existence, can influence even the divine concepts and thus exist at the borderline. the dream once existed across the dormant minds of all life, but at the birth of pe*nacony, as humanity bridged their way into THEIR domain, THEY manifested a friendlier façade: EIRLYS. as those built the dream into its modern grandeur, burying the reef beneath the gold, THEY intervened: humanity neglected the struggling minds, those who approached their emotional breaking point, and so THEY helped. THEY monitored the minds of those who dreamt and counseled those who needed THEIR aid, however, as order grew and emotions were manipulated, THEY could only escape, helpless, as the will of e*na's followers had their way. following the fall of a budding aeon, the dream is free once more, but the question remains: when order took control, where did THEY go?

unseelie queen ( loosely tied to winged rei*gn skins ): in the domain of the fae, there exist two kingdoms: the seelie, who reign over light and beauty, and the unseelie, who reign over shadow and truth. for eons, morrigan, who was born from the roots of the tree of life, reigned as the queen of the unseelie until they disappeared: in their place, a fae born from the tree's flowering branch, who seemed brighter and more curious about the realms, utterly unsuited to the political intrigue of the fae courts. yet, for those who remember the prior monarch, there lies a similarity between them few can deny

thinking abt eirlys being "killed", their body lifeless, and a new one essentially just spawns. something about it feels haunting, herself watching her own self decay, but also the futility of killing something whose body is life itself, whose soul is the indomitable mind. when they turn to look at their attacker, and they are still, but not in the way a deer freezes in the headlights, but in the way that makes one doubt everything
