What are your top 5 bromances?
Ooo this is a fun question, I’m probably gonna miss some obvious ones - but these are the first 5 that come to my mind. I feel bromances are between 2 guys whereas group dynamic/best group friends are different and for a diff ask! Spoilers ahead too.
1. Eisuke and Soryu (ultimate bro duo, I’d throw in Luke too).
They are the inhales, I deny you’re my friend but I actually care so much about you but like how do i openly express this without seeming like a bitch but i love you and i know you know so we don’t and shouldn’t have to say anything. They are the I feel a lot of people read over their arc and don’t think their dynamic is good. But, definitely not true. I don’t think there is anyone that Eisuke trusts me (besides MC) then Soryu. They have this hilarious way of being super stoic with each other, but when the time is right, they deal with each other like bros do. Pointing out your flaws and making sure you realize what you need to change. Eisuke talks about how Soryu can read his mind, knows his coffee by heart, and Eisuke would buy buildings for Soryu. Also, in a lot of substories Soryu offs people without flinching for Eisuke and we know Eisuke would do the same. AND THEY DO ILLEGAL SHIT TOGETHER. COME ON
2. Saizo and Yukimura (SLBP)
These are the death-do-us-part bros. I think they are true ‘brothers’. Like, if they were to find a girl, you bet it needs to pass interrogation of the other first. Saizo and Yukimura have open expressed and shown they would die for each other in battle and do it without hesitation. Saizo in the beginning of the Yukimura and Saizo prologue puts a sword to the throat of MC because he’s worried she’s DECEIVING Yukimura and Shingen. He makes it very blunt throughout many stories that he loves Yukimura and Yukimura likewise to him.
3. Shunichiro and Yukihisa
Also friends from high school, I find them the most charismatic duo of the bromances. They certainly have this friendship where they can read each others mind and play off each other’s flirtiness/charisma to get where they want. I can definitely see them tag team being wingmen at a bar with cute girls lol. However, in the end of the day, the two trust each other and wouldn’t want to live without the other. I mean, Yukihisa decided to work in the same building as Shunichiro - that speaks loads of their inseparability.
They are the, I feel in debt to you but now we are bros. Taki owes his entire life debt to Yosuke, who pitied and took him in and helped him overcome his father’s debt. However, along the way, Yosuke was able to watch Taki bloom and grow into this amazing business conglomerate. It’s wonderful to see how their friendship grows, (i really hated that they become rivals in the later seasons) because I feel they are two friends who wouldn’t allow trival things to over come them. If you’re able to overcome business dilemmas together - your friendship will definitely bloom. The two of them take very decisive decisions and the playful banter is always fun to read.
The childhood friends. I don’t think there’s any better dynamic than between these two when it comes to childhood friends. Ayato and Takamune look up to each other in ways that I feel a lot of friends wish they could. It’s rare that both best friends become famous, Ayato a rising star and Takamune an amazing soccer player. In both POV, they are stated in being “envious” of each other. Takamune in Ayato’s head strongness and Ayato’s in Takamunes perseverance. They both support each other AND find time for each other regardless of their busy schedule - cause that’s what friends do!
