Celosia has never really committed to anything important in her life, of her own desires. Though she was a capable student with an aptitude for sciences her parents pushed her towards it and she herself held very little passion for the subject. A fence-sitter by nature, she hardly ever makes decisions by herself, and in cases where she does it is from the influence of those around her.
Appearance-oriented
Fashion, of all things, is usually Celosia’s top priority. She takes pride in her appearance and will not go out in public until she is convinced she looks acceptable. He favourite physical feature is her lips.
Confident
Not one to let people push her around, she knows how to stand her ground but chooses her battles carefully. She is not afraid to acknowledge her failures or faults, and can easily laugh about it. Celosia has deep-seated feelings on this subject that she never shows to anyone.
Jokester
Another of Celosia’s top priorities is having fun. Many of her Team Flare colleagues can find her humour annoying but it doesn’t bother her much, if at all. She appreciates a good joke and takes comfort in hiding behind her humerous persona.
Judgemental
If Celosia is watching you without words, she is probably judging you, be it your clothes, your looks, your actions or your battling. She dislikes people that blend into the crowd and have nothing noticeable about them – if there’s something about you that stands out or is different and unique she will probably take a liking to you, friendly or otherwise.
Biography:
Born into a moderately wealthy family in Anistar City, Celosia was pushed towards a life of academia from a young age. Though she had aptitude to follow a career in science and her parents (both scientists themselves) wanted that pathway for her, she lacked the passion and motivation to pursue work in that field.
After she graduated and moved on to university to study Pokemon Biology she became dissatisfied with the life she had chosen to live (or rather, the life her parents had chosen for her) and quit school abruptly within the first six months, taking her two young Pokemon and leaving home to travel Kalos, with no idea where to go or what to do. Celosia was soon approached by Lysandre, the leader of a radicalist organisation in need of scientists named Team Flare, and was asked to join their ranks – curious and somewhat indifferent, she agreed.
After the fall of Team Flare Celosia elected to stay a member, as she liked the excitement of the team and found the opposition “simply exhilarating.”
Roleplay Sample:
One foot in front of the other. Step, step, step, step. Watch your footing, space the steps evenly. Don’t trip over any bumps.
… God, this is so boring.
Celosia swung her leg high, bringing it up as far as possible before stamping it down in front of her like a child. Bored, bored, bored, that’s what she was. Kalos was so boring! Ever since those little kids showed up and ruined all of the fun she had been having with Team Flare, things just weren’t as good. Lysandre had lost all hope for the team, and even though he hadn’t disbanded them he hadn’t decided what to do, so they were all just waiting for orders.
Waiting was so lame.
The purple-haired scientist sighed heavily, her entire frame slumping on the spot. She hadn’t wanted to hang around and just wait for the next thing to happen; she liked spontaneity, the thrill of it all. Waiting had no thrill. So she left to go find something else to do while Lysandre ummed and ahhed around Flare HQ like a sissy.
Heh, she most definitely did not just call her boss a sissy.
As she chuckled to herself, lost in thought with her eyes closed, she bumped into something. Celosia yelped a little, not expecting the sudden impact – when she looked up, she saw it was actually another person. “Oops,” she said quietly, a small smile playing on her lips.
