Shochikubai ("three friends of winter") themed seasonal outfit, pairing a ume (plum blossom) kimono, matsubokkuri (pinecone) and matsuba (pine needles) black satin obi, and a cute take (bambou) obidome.

Auspicious shochikubai pattern is heavily associated with New Year season in Japan :)

Some Morty lore from the pokeani sub i haven't seen posted elsewhere which is a shame, because i personally think the concept of Morty coming from a long line a worshippers of Ho-oh who guard the Bell Tower is a really interesting idea that i like to play around with in my own writing for him. Decided to put it here myself as i haven't seen much discussion of it online, probably because the scene was cut from the dub.
