a fun thing about TES is that ‘magic’ (eg destruction, restoration, other schools) is their science– systematic, thoroughly-studied, divided into schools, with a robust theory to explain while it works– while ‘science (dwemeri technology, the clockwork city) is basically just magic– inexplicable, mysterious, exclusive, following few-to-no apparent rules. so dwemer are among everything else big ol hypocrites
