Chetham’s Library, Manchester. It was established in 1653 under the will of Humphrey Chetham and is the oldest free reference library in the UK. It currently holds over 100,000 books, It contains an early 17th-century wooden hand printing press, given to the library in 1900 by Manchester printers George Falkner and Sons.
