And done! The red skirt is finished! It uses the same base pattern as the floral one I made, except I made the skirt a bit fuller, added a couple more pleats, and added a decorative button to the front

Got the urge to sew something today, so I made a skirt. I’ll get pictures wearing it tomorrow, it really looks much better off the hanger and on a person.
As promised, a better picture of the skirt! It sits at the natural waistline, with the wide “belt” looking section sitting nicely across the bottom of my ribcage. The bottom hemline falls to mid-calf, just about 5 or so inches above my ankle. It’s got a wonderful A-line frame to it, and a zipper closure in the back. Super proud of it. A couple of my interior seams could have been a bit neater, but all in all it came out nicely
This is so beautiful! Do you think this could be sewn by hand or do you have to use the machine?

Found it! The pattern is Simplicity 8250, and here’s the detail on the waistline (because I’m quiet happy with how it turned out). I made a few miner alterations, but nothing huge.
